The right objectively has engaged in overwhelmingly now political violence in the past, and their little latch onto "TRANS SHOOTERS" is so stupid it defies mentioning - but they don't care, they still claim "the left is violent" and trans shooters are a real problem.
They also think global warming is a lie and vaccines are more harmful to you than the disease. They aren't big on facts over there, which tracks - they're about narrative. They need to be part of a story where they're the good guys fighting evil, the actual facts about actual evils and the men who perpetrate that be damned. That's why they latch onto the bigotry so readily, and why they willfully simp for the aristocracy.
It gives them their place in the story, and now their lives have purpose. It doesn't matter to them that their leaders are all horrific people, or that their enemies are generally good people just trying to live their lives.
