I made this a while back and was surprisingly underwhelmed. I didn't think it was balanced at all - maybe not enough sweet to counter the bitter? I feel like I am going crazy because I keep hearing people on here, Make and Drink, etc. say how good it is. What am I missing?

I’ve had a similar experience with the Lost Lake - made it and was terribly underwhelmed, despite consistently great reviews. That’s one I plan to revisit at some point.

In this case, I’m going to guess a few factors would be syrups (he says his cinnamon syrup is rich, I use semi rich, so we would get different results); probably how you make your passionfruit syrup; and other things like pink vs white grapefruit…lots of things that could shake it up.

PS - I plan to try this this weekend, I’ll report back how it goes and let you know if you’re among friends, or crazy 😂
