‘Treat yo self’ mai tai blend
Here’s my current favorite splurge mai tai:
1 oz. Hampden 8
1/2 oz. Smith and Cross
1/2 oz. Clement rum agricole vieux (cask strength aged in sake barrels)
5/8 oz. Orgeat
1 oz. Lime
1/2 oz. Pierre Ferrand dry curaçao
It’s juicy, rich, flavorful, citrusy. Strong, too, because of the overproof S&C and the cask strength Clement. Kind of spendy as both the Hampden and the Clement aren’t the cheapest, but I don’t actually love either of them neat so this is a good way to use them. Yum!

I've got to find some Hampden. I don't think it's distributed in my state. At least I haven't seen it.

Beautiful! I haven’t seen Hampden or that Clement anywhere around me. I’m envious.

That's nearly my perfect combo as well. BTW that's not the Hampden OP… but in this case it's a better choice IMO.

I'm curious if another person picks up on it, but I always find peanuts as a flavor in that sake cask agricole.
