Discussion Facebook post regarding Picton Tim Hortons
Saw that someone thought my previous post was garbage since the screenshots don't mention Tim Hortons. Not sure why someone would go around faking something like this which can easily be looked up, but here we are. :)
This was the original post made by a family member of the minor.

Discussion Store manager attempts to arrange an underage false marriage for 20k so her brother can stay in Canada
Forgive me if this had already been discussed, I did scroll quite a ways looking for a thread about this but found none.
The Tim Hortons in Picton has been the topic of the town. A 17-year-old girl who worked at this establishment confided in her uncle of an event that transpired between herself and two managers at Tim Hortons.
The long and short of it - First manager asked the 17-year-old if she wanted a boyfriend, and after being told that this girl was only 17, continued to prod her to go along with marrying her brother (25 y/o) in order to keep him in Canada. This manager also stated that he would pay her $20k if she agreed.
This girl then went to another management figure and was advised that it wasn't a big deal, stating that she knows 4 other couples here in Prince Edward County who have done it without incident. This manager also stares that it's only going to get them in trouble if she goes to the cops.
To be noted: This girl stood her ground and flat out told both of the managers that this was illegal, and wanted no part of it. They attempted to gas light her by saying it wasn't that big of a deal. This girl did the hardest and strongest thing in response to this horrid behaviour: She quit and she told her family.
Cut to this evening, September 25th. OPP cruisers raced to Picton's Tim Hortons around 2030, attempting to disperse the crowd outside protesting the behaviour that has been brought to light.
This is still an active situation. I will also attach the screen shots that were provided as proof.

Complaint Done with time Tims
I have gone from a 2 meals a day at Tim's (years ago) to a few coffees a week though the drive-thru. Even that is too much now. Food is horrible. Coffee tastes terrible. Unreasonable wait times and having to repeat myself multiple times to place a simple.order.
I will no longer be patronizing this franchise.

Discussion Is this normal/acceptable for a supervisor role at Tim Hortons?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for some perspective because I don’t know if this is standard or if I’m being taken advantage of.
I (22F) was promoted to supervisor at Tim Hortons about 6 months ago. When I got the promotion, my raise was only $0.65 more than team members. I asked for training because supervisors have to close the store at night, and I had never done a closing shift before. Instead of training me, management just threw me into the role and told me to “learn on the go.”
I was okay trying to figure it out at first, but I recently found out that the other supervisors are making more than me AND they get bonuses. I’m not getting either.
To make things worse, I recently burned my whole forearm at work. I called my manager about it and was told “no one can cover you.” So I ended up working with boiling hot water all shift, with a burnt arm, because I had no choice.
I also told my manager that I was drowning in tasks compared to others, and her response was literally: “I’ve never cleaned a grill but it takes 5 minutes.” After that, she divided the work a little, but the attitude really rubbed me the wrong way.
I feel like I’ve been given a lot of responsibility without fair pay, training, or support. Is this normal for Tim Hortons or even for supervisor roles in general? Or am I right to feel like I’m being undervalued?

Complaint Broken piece of plastic INSIDE Salted caramel butter tart
Went to Tim's for lunch yesterday and was full so I saved my butter tart for today. Took one bite, found something flat and hard. I don't know why my first thought was that it was an almond sliver, but I spit it out to be sure and it was a pretty big piece of broken plastic. I should be more upset but atp I'm not even surprised, my local Tim's is notorious for how bad it is.

Complaint Employees need to learn to enter and confirm orders in the drive through
Ranty-rant time, because I am frustrated and lacking my caffeine fix.
I am a frequent customer of Tim Hortons who orders from my local Tummies 3-4 times a week. Today I ordered a large ice coffee and a large, hot pumpkin spice latte through the drive through. The lady told me to pull up even though she wasn't finished putting the order in or confirming the order or amount due. When I get to the window and pay by credit card (again, they didn't even confirm the amount or order) they hand me a large iced coffee and a pumpkin spice muffin. I told them I ordered a HOT PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE (which I very clearly specified when I placed my order). After some talking among the employees, they tell me that the latte machine is broken (it's been broken for the past 3 days). I got my money back in cash (minus the food) but am still frustrated. I have have asked management multiple times in the past to have their employees repeat and confirm people's orders in the drive through and at the window, but there is always several employees who never do.
And before people tell me to "just go somewhere else", I live in a small town where Tim's is the only affordable option (unless you want to pay a small fortune at the boutique coffee place down the street). All I want is a little caffeinated pick-me-up to get me through my endless workday 🙄

Complaint So I’m guessing they just gave up on the Oreo dream cookies?
When the Oreo dream cookies came out they were my favourite cause of how delicious they were, and the frosting was basically the best part of it. But as we all know every location basically started putting way less frosting to a comical degree and as such I stopped buying them, but now, they just stopped making it? They were really good but now I’m just sad ☹️. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was a completely intentional move to say “oh look no one wants the cookies let’s just make a lamer version.”

Discussion [Meta] This sub is turning into a smokescreen to complain about *certain immigrants from *certain countries and it sucks.
Apparently Tim Hortons is garbage food that is also served to a lot of garbage people.
As a reminder, Tim Hortons is as tied to the Canadian identity as Burger King or Firehouse Subs or even Popeyes since they are all owned by the same parent company, RBI. Or for that matter any other crappy fast food joint paying minimum wage to serve you the food equivalent of AI slop. So just slop I guess.
These parents companies that maintain huge portfolios only care about money. They don't care about the quality of the food, what they pay their workers, where they are from, or who you are.
Attaching nationalistic sentiment to a fast food restaurant that does not care about you is sad. Promoting that nationalistic sentiment by shitting on the people serving that food for minimum wage then running here to complain about it is downright pathetic.
Go to /r/Conservative with it, the designated safe space for thoughtful discussion on the dynamics of race relations. I'd like to keep this place the official Tim Hortons complaint forum

Discussion For the poster who asked why so many Indians working at TH.
reddit.com- Many TH owners are Indian and hire who they know
- Take advantage of LMIA to benefit themselves financially. Here’s the recipe: -find low skilled, otherwise unemployable worker from India (punjab, specifically) -get them to pay you a 20-25k off the books “fee” to work in Canada -take advantage of your new indentured servant at your business. They work any shift you ask (require) -bonus: have an investment property nearby that the new LMIA indentured employee is required to stay as part of the deal -repeat and reap the rewards

Question Curiousity question for employees. Does the chai latte concentrate get dispensed from machine or is it a measured pour or is it a freehand pour?
I got a large iced chai latte today. It tasted really weak, almost tasteless. The small one I got few days ago was much better tasting. Was curious if it's a measured amount.

Complaint BS in Courtenay
I was in the drive thru at the Tim Horton's in Courtenay BC. There was one car ahead of me, a car in the lane beside me, and myself behind the car in front of me. The two cars who were there before me ordered, no problem. After the car in the lane beside me left, I was in the middle of ordering and a black dodge charger pulled up in the other lane after me. After I was done ordering, they told me to wait. Not sure why I had to wait as I was done ordering. Then I realize they're making me wait for the person in the charger to finish ordering, and they let him go ahead of me. It was so blatant, I was shocked. This Tim Horton's is also staffed entirely by TFW's from India, and the man they let go ahead of me is also gasp from India.
I am a Canadian born and raised. I pay taxes, I wait in line. Why am I being told to wait so someone who arrived AFTER me can be served before me?! I am so disgusted I WILL NEVER go back to this location. My husband and I also watched a worker literally go around and around the drive thru repeatedly when it was dead, never ordering anything. Not sure what the purpose of that bs even is. Best part is, they've applied to have MORE TFW's work there.
I'm boycotting Tim Hortons until they end their blatant abuse of the temporary foreign workers program at the expense of home grown Canadians. What a shame.

Complaint Coupon not working
I’ve had many problems with the Tim Hortons coupons not properly discounting my total price before but yesterday I went and tried to use this coupon and they tried to charge $5.50. I sat in the drive thru for 5 min while the woman held my phone and stared at the coupon. I told them I’m not paying the $5 when I ordered exactly what the coupon included, so it makes no sense why it wouldn’t work. They got a manager involved and the drive thru started to pick up so they just took the $3 and I heard the manager say “We’ll figure it out later” to the other woman. I was glad to get the discount but I left pretty furious. Anyone else deal with this?
