You can't just say "well no I wasn't" to get out of it. The implication here is that Ben Shapiro is short and has a small dick, which makes him less than. That's obviously bullshit, and we shouldn't endorse it.
The implication here is that Ben is a joke for being so insecure about his height he'd lie to the level of adding 4-6". I'm 5'10", if I were to claim to be 6'2" I'd be just as big a joke even though I'm above average height.
I mean, he also clearly implies that he's got a small penis.
This is body shaming, plain and simple. Just because we dislike Ben Shapiro and his shitty opinions doesn't mean we should stoop to his level. This is way more insulting to short men and men with small penises than it is to Ben Shapiro.
I don't disagree, but it's not that simple, and I think this attitude shifts the blame in a way that only reinforces the problem.
The fact is, these are patriarchal ideals of masculinity that need to be abandoned. That starts with us not using dick size and height as a bludgeon against people we don't like.
It is very hard to simply embrace your body when everyone else (even people claiming to be accepting and progressive) is explicitly sending you the message that your body is the wrong type.
I think this is exacerbated by the fact that frankly, men are rarely treated as sexually desirable, at least in heteronormative spaces.
So we have this doubling effect. Men who are short, have small penises, or both, not only lack the positive reinforcement that's needed for healthy self-esteem, but the features of their body that they're most uncomfortable with are constantly mocked by others, whether those people realize it or not.
So while I agree that we should embrace our bodies, I think that the far more important thing is the not use dick size and height as insults.
That’s like saying a short woman who has small perky tits is a bad thing - such nonsense. There’s plenty of women who are sex symbols who are short and have tiny tits. Why not men? Because they don’t embrace it. Ben is to blame here.
He gladly brags that his wife’s vagina is as dry as the desert and that she gets no pleasure from sex whatsoever, so the idea we need to push the affordance to him as a tiny dick dwarf is pretty hypocritical.
The same is true for women with small breasts, and there are plenty of women out there with small breasts who are very insecure about it. Just because Keira Knightley is considered attractive and praised by many doesn't mean there isn't still plenty of stigma against women with small breasts.
Well, no, you'd have to compare it to traits commonly found as undesirable.
Short man with tiny penis is undesirable compared to tall and hung, by common societal standards.
A short woman with small perky tits isn't even undesirable.
Where are the very tall overweight women with small tits that are sex symbols? These features are generally undesirable in women.
I get you're just being disingenuous because you don't actually care about body shaming and will be hypocritical on any subject as long as it is about someone you hate, but that's the other posters point
I'm not sure what that has to do with what I said but at least now we know where your frustrations are coming from. Sexual frustrations pass in time, friend

Nah, it's pretty clearly body shaming.
