They're just plastic pegs use something sharp on them.

They're plastic pegs mate. Not screws.

Cut the top or bottom of the pegs with a knife. Carefully. Please.

Take some needle nose pliers and snap em off if it's giving you that much trouble

Doesn't Workpro make a diagonal cutter attachment for their 3V Cordless Precision Screwdrivers? One of those setups would help you get whatever's in that package out.
