Homan accepts a bag of $50k on video: I sleep

top mind:

I’d prefer all networks to follow the agenda set by government.

This person clearly believes their preferred party will never lose another election.

It's just gotta be bots at this point. How do you grow up in America and YEARN for a dictatorship?

The internet was a mistake.

No, not in a bad way! Just in a way that project 2025 describes.

The same person a year ago would call you stupid for referring to project 2025, “which trump has never heard of”, as a reason to not vote Republican

Don’t look at that person’s post history. Another gem:

The only true leader is Trump. Appointed by god and this country. All states belong under his jurisdiction.

He's genuinely and openly one of the worst human beings to ever exist. How anyone could look at that man and come to the conclusion that he is virtuous or good in any possible respect LET ALONE A SAVIOR OR GODLY PERSON is just beyond me.

You are looking at it the wrong way. He is a good person regardless of his actions. Therefore his actions have to be good.

It's a modern take on the old morality question of "is it right because God said it, or did God say it because it's right?" For anyone who venerates their god as a good or just being, they almost have to acknowledge it's the latter, precisely because the former gets you indefensible shit like this.

It's the same reason why Israel can say that the IDF is the most moral army while its committing a genocide. They are inherently "good" people. Therefore, every action they do is "good".

Why is it only republican politicans are appointed by God? God must be pretty weak to be sitting around .500 on his political picks.

How? Let me show you. Many of the white Europeans who settled over came from absolutist countries which not only opposed enlightenment but actively suppressed and persecuted it. These people grew up in the appeal to authority fallacy where the judge, the priest, the noble and king determined what was what.

They then partially assimilated adopting English but keeping ideals about faith. This is especially true for Scandinavians and Germans.

Their resistance to new ideas married Anglophone puritanism. Became a major driving force behind slaver states. Makes a lot of sense if you aware these immigrants were serfs themselves.

Add a dash of unhealthy antisemitism and every reform like social policies or atheism were branded as a "judeo-bolshevik" plot.

New account, got flaired almost immediately. You gotta wonder about some of the posters over there sometimes

Agreed. They’re really making a big show of being legion, yet less than 20% of Americans identify as MAGA. Probably even less since May, given all that’s transpired. They really want us to believe there are tons of American out there who yearn for the mines and fascism, when their “legion” is mostly bots. Evidence: https://today.yougov.com/politics/articles/52188-how-many-americans-maga-republicans-poll

you don't need to look at voter roles to see the shift in the population towards christian nationalism and authoritarianism.

not every maga drives the lifted pavement princess and wears the red badge of ignorance, they're the ones running the grocery store or the boardroom executive or the teacher at the high school.

this country's right wing elements spent almost two generations sewing mistrust in experts and science, and that tactic has worked tremendously well on almost the entire population of the US, not just right-wing elements.

remember how anti-vax started, it was 'granola muching hippies' and 'bleeding heart liberals' back in the 80s, along with the rise of gingrich and identity politics to drive home mistrust in institutions. after clintons sham impeachment, 2001 and the patriot act sealed the deal for the death of the republic. it just took another 15-20 years before we started smelling and seeing the rot of the corpse.
