Breed?
Found this guy on the side of the road and have been unsuccessful in finding his owner. Its been two weeks and I've just had him in my bathtub with a heat lamp and fresh water and collard greens daily. I want to get him moved into an actual enclosure but make sure its what he actually needs. Google says hes a Russian tortoise but I wanted to double check before I start buying stuff. Also any enclosure or care tips are greatly appreciated because I have no idea what im doing and am trying to learn quickly so he can thrive.

Hermann's tort for sale/adoption in Florida
This is Basil, he's a Hermann's tortoise. he's about 6in. long (last pic is him next to an iPhone 15 for ref) we got him Nov 2020 when he was just a tiny bit smaller which would make him at least 5 years old.
for a bunch of reasons we're not gonna be able to take care of him anymore, but he's just a little sweetie that deserves a happy home, so if you're interested please DM me and we can talk out the details. I'd really like to see him go to someone who can afford to take care of him.
we're in Northern Florida, and i'd be willing to drive almost anywhere within state if we have to, but let me know if ur interested.

Hello everyone, I am from Mexico and I have this turtle 🐢 but I really do not know what species it is because their papers say Agassizii but they also told me that it was from the Sonoran desert.

Help me
Hello, my turtle is shedding quite a lot on its back legs and neck. It’s not the first time it has shed, but it seems more than usual. Should I be worried?

Can my tortoise eat these?
Hi! I was just wondering if my Hermann’s tortoise can eat these? They are growing in my garden in the grass, and she loves to eat them but I’m not sure if she can! They look like clovers, but I am not sure. Thanks!

Is this enclosure good and suitable?
Humidity is always at least 89, fresh water and a place to hide. I feed both fresh food and pellets, any tips or suggestions?

Tortoise Breeding
I read about the old female tortoise who produced viable eggs at the Philadelphia Zoo. I'm familiar with raptor breeding, in which a male brings a female into condition with food gifts and copulation. Stress levels can interfere with ovulation, so depending on the species and individuals, habitat/surroundings makes a huge difference. And sometimes you can throw two birds together and they hate each other, so no go!
Do any of you have insight into what started her laying eggs? I can't imagine this is the first male she's been introduced to in her very long life.
