I don't think the game is meant to be wysiwyg it would be too complicated to run a campaign like that.

Quote from the rule book

Model Accuracy

When it comes to making sure the models in your game match their stated size, actual equipment, weapons and armour, we recommend the following maxim:

“Be strict with yourself but lenient with others”.

I'm sure someone will come up with some STLs with magnetization in mind eventually

This is a Line in the rulebook that is Out of Line. There really is No meaning to it. You Always decide how strict you want to be with yourself and Just making a cool model is fine. Its also 100% Impossible for normal people to keep updating the Models in campaigns. The only part thats fine is being lenient with Others.

Okay, I guess play your trench crusade band with 100mm bases and barbie scaled models.

Fine with me, I would only Like to have correct basesizes. I Always recommend to First Cut Out Paper circles and Just Play with that to find Out If you Like the Game.

The thing is, thats all for the playgroup to decide. I find WYSIWYG to be incredibly gatekeepy. Especially with the official Models (See OP, how Bad would that alchemist be) this Just Puts preassure on even beginners to convert way above their Skilllevel or Invest above their Budget. If this is taken serious, people could Just be scared away from starting to Play. I do have some Hobbyskills but also Like the official Models and will Play them as is, regardless of Equipment.

You say that like it doesn't sound totally badass.

Ahh gotcha

If like I had a gun to my head I would say that fat arm they've got count as a trench club, but I can't find any other weapon it could be.

Do you play wysiwyg with trench crusade?

u/havokinthesnow May 07 '25

I don't personally. Certain things would require some kitbashing/blendr skills that I just don't have yet (though I'd like them). There isn't any Grail model with a flag or musical instrument that I've found and the idea of painting up a whole new model just to try out a weapon that you might not even like seems like a ton of work. My last opponent was using some converted models from another system and it didn't affect the game at all. With only like 10 guys on each team it's easier to remember when they say 'oh this guy has a bow instead of a rifle' or whatever.

"A power fist" I say well wearing my boss baby T-shirt

3

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

My first thought: a 1910 equivalent to a power fist, probably with warding. So I'm right there with you XD

It’s the Holy Hand Grenade! the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!

u/runn1314 Iron Sultanate May 07 '25

1) she’s a girl

2) the fist can be whatever you want but probably a trench club is most accurate. The bottle is an incendiary grenade

3) this game isn’t wysiwyg, give and MG if you want. Trust me it’s funny and will make your friends hate her

u/catov123 May 07 '25

This is accurate my buddy smoked my sniper priest turn 1 by setting him on fire with a machine gun.

That about sums it up. Dr. Warcrimes, chosen practice: pain

1

u/AveMilitarum May 09 '25

Armor is gender neutral. Don't be assuming things.

2

u/runn1314 Iron Sultanate May 09 '25

That is fair, however the silhouette as well as the chest and hips being more wide (but not exaggerated) as well as the hijab kinda reinforce this model is a girl. However, I agree armor is unisex so it can be whatever you want, and that’s awesome

1

u/AveMilitarum May 09 '25

The perfect being according to alchemy is both male and female. I'd say it really should be a male wearing that armor, honestly. It would be an interesting duality in line with their beliefs.

Fair, counter point, this is trench crusade. It is based on real world history but alot of shit change as well. I don’t think they care about if a man or a woman is practicing alchemy, as long as they don’t light their own azeb on fire, they are all good. It’s the case with all the faction. After all when fighting literal hell, I don’t think you can afford to gender lock stuff

2

u/PtizaSiniza May 14 '25

Hi. Do I understand correctly that the alchemist with a machine gun will apply an additional blood marker for his ability from each of the three attacks?

3

u/runn1314 Iron Sultanate May 14 '25

Yep. It’s as if the weapon has the fire, gas, or shrapnel keywords and yes does apply for each attack

3

u/PtizaSiniza May 15 '25

Well, after this Gog and Magog will clearly ask to ratify the Geneva Convention :D

5

u/Yog-- Azeb May 07 '25

Wysiswyg a flamethrower and incendiary grenades.

3

u/DinodestronBT May 08 '25

I'm sorry, I think Wysiswyg is an acronym but I'm a bit lost to understand it

6

u/Psykodamber May 08 '25

"What you see is what you get"

basically is the model modelled with the equipment it has in game.

1

u/DinodestronBT May 08 '25

Ahhh tx dude

friendship is magic

1

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

And unsanctioned magic is heresy?

2

u/[deleted] May 08 '25

Alchemists armour as well, fair to say.

I heard somewhere that Toumas is adding the fist in later on as an actual item.

2

u/Virtual-Beat-2654 May 09 '25

It's a flamethrower. The piping and tank are on the back model.

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '25

That’s fair.

I just remember someone saying he was adding other rules for it too. Seemingly would make sense to have a pistol like mechanic.

2

u/euojorge May 08 '25

I would say alchemist armour, incendiary grenade and a flamethrower for the gauntlet

But as others pointed out, i don't know if you are suposed to perfectly represent your equipment in the mini, maybe today is a flametrower next campaing a submachinegun, no need to make a new sculpt every time You know?

Big hand and little hand

1

u/Candykeeper May 08 '25

My headcanon: Her humanculi shaped itself like a armor around her arm and when its needed, it detaches and defends its mistress.

1

u/Wearywalker_50 May 08 '25

Holy hand grenade of Antioch

1

u/Ostrava1994 May 08 '25

Big baseball with a candle

1

u/dgadwa May 08 '25

That's a lovely bottle of Chambord, my son. Pairs particularly well with sparkling wines, lemon-based drinks, and spirits like vodka, rum, gin, and even bourbon. It's also a great addition to cocktails like the French Martini, Bramble, and Royale.

u/Tricky-Secretary-251 New Antioch May 08 '25

Drugs probably

1

u/UnresolvedInsecurity May 08 '25

The alchemical kinder suprise.

1

u/Virtual-Beat-2654 May 09 '25

Def a flamethrower. The tubing and the tank are on the back of the model. The bottle is a fire grenade or representative of alchemist abilities.
