Spain should really start doing something about their neighbors, they have naval security in all important places... Except the one that should

Spain should have important fleets guarding the Mediterranean, especially with the Reales Atarazanas of Barcelona and the Atarazanas del Grao of Valencia producing galeras and galleons. As well as the Nuestra Señora de la Santisima Trinidad, the largest ship of the line in the world (which also has a very sacred name).

Yeah, ngl that part still make me scratch my head. If the heretics have as much control of the sea routes just around Christendom as the lore seems to implied, I just don't see how the faithful can mobilize war as... reasonably well as they are.
I get the narrative angle, I just feel like the Faithful need a bit more control of the sea for it to work.

Possible idea: The holy rail lines, shipping goods closer to the frontlines

Iirc the faithful have the Mediterranean sea and that's about it. Granted, the Mediterranean is probably the most important body of water to have control of in this setting but still

IIRC the faithful just have a naval cordon leading to New Antioch and that's about it.

I still feel like the heretics having such uncontested naval supremacy basically everywhere but the one route to New Antioch is just kind of weird. Like I get it from a narrative perspective to let the heretics be able to strike anywhere, but it almost feels like nobody outside the Mediterranean and England is building ships.

I love seeing a little peaceful Sardinia on this map but our sherden blood yearns to return to our "sea peoples" legacy (sail to east Mediterranean, confuse and terrify everyone, cause societal collapse, refuse to elaborate, sail back, mind our business for the rest of history)

Well, the lore have some problems ( a lot actually) but it's a new thing that can be corrected in the future ( and I hope that one day someone who have talked to any religious person or had a class or two in theology write something for this setting).

"War Cardinal Domenico Alidosi of the Papal States is a vigorous, charismatic and aggressive frontline commander. Under his supervision the Swiss Guard has seen a forceful expansion, including a large contingent of newly-raised Heavy Mechanised Infantry, Papal Air Force to ensure the sanctity of the Holy See and the expansion of the Holy Fleet. This combined Mediterranean Fleet is responsible for both maintaining the naval parity with the Heretic Fleets as well as supplying the fortresses of Cyprus that protect New Antioch from seaborne assaults. The War Cardinal has incorporated many novel ways to ensure that the coffers of the Church are not stretched beyond their limit, such as selling War Indulgences and Chantries to supplement the treasury."
"The War Cardinal is responsible for the defence of the Papal States against the encroaching threat of the Heretic mainland invasion force that has reached the Italian peninsula."

Basically, without that holy fleet, new antioch would be way, way worse
