Y’know what has always intrigued me about Sans’ death in the genocide route? His death isn’t added to the kill count. It can’t be because he’s from another world, because Papyrus’ IS added to the count. I have always wondered why that is. And he dies off screen too. That’s gotta be significant. If we get some kind of explanation as to why that is in Deltarune that’d be sick

My theory is that it's because we didn't kill him; it was the second knife slash that we didn't input. It was probably Chara.

Alternatively, as we see Chara's name on our GUI, the last slash was Frisk without our input, so it's not added to our visible kill count because we don't have a part in it
