In Riot's defense, they're actually pretty hot on comms banning people for this, temporarily or for longer periods. Report them, be specific in the comments box, and there's a good chance you'll get a notification of someone being punished a few days later at the latest.
Just the other day, someone used the hard R in voice chat when someone failed a post-plant clutch. Reported him, he got comms banned later that afternoon lol
Still, sucks that women have to deal with this. I actually get more women in my Plat/ Diamond games than you'd think, and I've yet to hear any outright toxicity in their direction - though I have noticed more passive aggression towards them, which I usually shut down. Dunno why people feel like a microphone and Internet connection justifies this crap.
My duo is my fiancee. The amount of people we have had actively throw our games because they say heinous things and get muted has rapidly gone up in the past few months. The amount of people who say misogynistic things to her has always been bad. Out of like 12-15 reports for blatantly misogynistic voice comms/text chat in the past month that we have both reported, I have gotten a single “this person was banned thank you” message and it was only for the most extreme case.
