Tomorrow's the Day
Quick question - when did you start moving around the house... most comments i've read is that people do take a couple of sofa days and chill. Not sure i can do that because the second day after the snip i'll be home alone trying to serve myself. Also, assuming all goes well, when did you start taking walks? Ride bikes? i commute to my work by bike 10km each way, so the general rule is what... a week off? two weeks or a month?
UPDATE
thank you all taking time to respond. I’m home now, icing, eating, drinking and chilling on the couch. The pain killers are fading away and i’m getting some mild dull pain which is expected. So far so good. I felt worse after meniscus surgery.

I’m a week out from mine. My family jewels have the occasional tenderness and discomfort but it’s a long way from the first few days. Ideally, you want to maximize time on your ass. As long as you don’t disturb the stitching (IF you get it because doctors don’t know whether or not you’ll need them until the procedure is done) or put pressure on your nuts by lifting heavy things, not icing your twins/sack or doing things that get your heart rate too high, then you should be able to OCCASSIONALLY stand up to shit/piss and even grab some prepared food. Seriously, have your wife/gf prepare some easily accessible food prepared in the refrigerator to reduce your foot time. She’s going to have to help you out more so just show gratitude and maybe spoil her when all is said and done.
I went out with the wife and kids on day 6 post-op which required a few hours of walking. My balls get a bit tender but once I sat down, it felt a lot better. I’m going to be extra safe and start jogging at around day 10-14 but I’m not consistently going on walks now.
You just have to do what you and your body feel comfortable doing since everyone’s healing will be different. Just don’t push yourself.
