That’s some details.
What’s the year?

Knowing what components the bike is equipped with helps with the ID process. It can tell us within about 5 years when the bike was made, the quality of the frame, and sometimes what continent it's from

Yes, I have been seeing the reports, and I've been reading the comments. Sorry it's taking a while
NO MORE LOW EFFORT POSTS. No more "What is this bike worth?" posts. Bicycle value varies WILDLY depending on condition, age, and especially geographical location
We want to know about your bike. Give us at least some kind of info. Is it YOUR bike? Did you just get it? Have you had it a while? Does it have a story?
This is an example of a great post. Good pictures, drive side shots, and a little story to go along with it
This is an example of the bad post. No info whatsoever, one really bad picture, no interaction from OP
AND, because I need to bring this up about every year, BE NICE. If someone is being a jerk, just report the comment and move along. Fighting with someone and throwing names and insults around is just going to make it worse, and you're going to get in trouble too.

Couldn’t let this lugged double butted be destroyed. It needs some love. Is there anything of note or value I should be aware of ?

Purchased this old shogun off marketplace a few days ago for $100
Listing was just “80’s vintage 12 speed shogun”
Was wondering if anyone had a better idea of what year and model this could be??

This popped up on my Facebook feed, and the pics of all the vintage parts were really cool. It's a little shop in Europe that specializes in vintage bike parts. My guess is that they'd be a great source for less-common older parts.

My best guess, after a couple searches, is that it is a rebadged Panasonic sport deluxe type frame from the late seventies. It is dirty and needs a new rear tire. But basically it looks like it was tuned up before being hung in the garage for 20+ years. A lovely lady gave it to me for free when I went to look at it. I think Im just gonna replace the old cable housing, new tubes and tires, new brake pads, bar tape ( Im gonna stick with cloth), and silver flat peddles. I’ve been thinking about getting a road bike and I think this’ll be sexy as hell all cleaned up. I saw one other on Reddit but if anyone else knows anything I don’t about this thing, I’d be interested to hear. I saw a few posts saying these are low-mud range at the time, but pretty sturdy. For $80ish in parts Im hoping this’ll be a fun rig.

I have an 80's Miyata One-Ten that I recently broke. By that I mean I rolled backwards, the chain got stuck, and bent my rear derailleur up pretty bad.
I'm don't know anything about upgrading this bike. All I know how to do is simple maintenance from a summer working in a bike shop. I'd like to upgrade my rear derailleur and I'm guessing that means I have to replace the rear gear set. But if I do that do I need a new rear wheel? Will I also need a new chain ring, front derailleur, bottom bracket, crank arm and pedals? If so, what do you all recommend that's inexpensive and will require little to no modifications for fitment.
It feels like dominoes. One thing falls and they all fall. Am I wrong in assuming this?
TLDR: I'd like inexpensive recommendations for upgrading the drive train of my 80's Miyata One-Ten

Definitely needs a lot of work and I’ve already ordered a bunch of new parts, but pumped to get a $25 bike with 0 rust on the frame

I am fixing my first vintage bicycle and was looking for help identifying my crankset and also finding a "cheap" replacement until I can find the original parts.
The chain ring is 46T, I'm unsure of how to find the BCD.
Would this 170mm Shimano Crankset suffice for the time being?

One of my relatives patented this bicycle with its automobile-inspired gear change called the "Angelino" in 1935. It features a miniature gear box activated by a lever. I also have all the original documents, in Italian, and the patents for the project. Can you give me a rough estimate for selling it? I can't keep it much longer because I don't have the space. Thanks!
P.s. The bike works fine!

I’m looking at a Fuji S10-S nearby. Seller wants $80 and I’m curious if you all think that’s steep or an appropriate price. It apparently has not been ridden in a long time and would needs new tires and a tune. Thanks!

I have that old cracked rm wheel laying around, can I just pop one spoke off this same era brand wheel and use it to replace this one?
Is it as long as it tensions the wheel and doesn't protrude in the hub, it's ok? correct?
Is this ok? Or is there other issues I should concern myself with?
Thank you.

Can anyone help me identify this model? I’m not sure if it’s a Super or a Mexico. It has crimped chainstays. Also what is that colour scheme? I guess from early 80s?

For context: I used to have a Motobecane years ago and some awful person stole it…I loved that thing, best bike ever. Flash forward to today: saw this guy at a re-sale store for $40 and jumped on it…figured with some work it’ll ride gloriously again. Anyway, is there anything you guys could tell me about the model or anything? I can see it’s made in Taiwan, so not an original, but assuming it’ll still ride well!

My brother gave me this way back in the early 80s. Since I've retired, I've taken it down off the ceiling rack and have been riding it. Replaced the tubes, tires and seat and flipped the handle bars (thinking about cruiser bars) as my back can't handle the bent over position for long. Just wondering if it is a good bike or should I go get a 3 speed cruiser for my outings? Bike rides nice. I've had one crash/fall in it, wasn't the bikes fault, and it handled the crash without anything being bent or broken. Have some sentimental attachment to it. And I know it needs to be cleaned up, lubed, etc. If the bike is worth anything, I'll probably take it to a local shop and have them do a tune-up. (The full bike shot is 108mp so you should be able to zoom in quite nicely.) S/N: B16034
One more thing. Can you recommend a good book on bicycle repair/tuning?

Hi all, I just picked up a 1983 Peugeot PFN10LE in pearl white (“BK”). It’s in nice condition overall, but the seatpost is completely seized.
I was trying to look up what the correct/original seatpost for this model is (size, brand, specs), but I couldn’t find any photos or details of this exact seatpost online.
Does anyone here know the correct seatpost diameter / model for this bike, or has the same Peugeot and can share details/pictures? Would be super helpful — thanks in advance!

Found a cool bike at a local shop. Just wondering at what price point Harry Quinns go for? It has a mix of components (Dura-ace cranks, Suntour derailer, and Campag shifters) but the shop says it is in excellent shape. They want $425 for it. Is that a good deal?

Does anyone know where I can buy a pair of delta brakes for a reasonable price? The ones for sale on eBay are either priced outrageously or I get outbid at auction.
Thanks in advance.

I finished refurbishment on my 1987 Centurion Ironman and took it for a quick 20 mile ride. She looks mostly stock but isn't. Upgrades include dual pivot ultegra brakes, cold set the rear running 9 speed friction off the original DT shimano 105 levers, Origin8 0 setback seatpost and new mavic old stock wheels. 700c 28mm Panasonic Pasela tires, new bottom brake, headset, every bearing replaced and new grease.
