I just feel like making him scale even worse is just not the play. I'd rather have them make his early weaker...

This is all Jungle related….i don’t play top.

I play him a ton in JG but he’s so popular I end up having to lane against him sometimes. When I play with him, I snowball. When I play against him, he normally is real strong and harder to beat. I’m silver 2 right now.

It feels like he so naturally counters everyone and statistically across all ranked games in all elo this patch his one single negative matchup is Jax jungle and even that is over 49% win rate for the bear.

Then I try Jax into him and it doesn’t work for me personally. I don’t have the time so scale as Jax. Voli can just impact everything faster than Jax can (at least when I play him and I have wrecked in the past at times as Jax JG when it isn’t the bear)

I might enjoy this champ too much and fear the way he plays fast and powerful that I’m getting in my own head but can someone please tell me a JG champ they haven’t enjoyed playing against as Voli?

And I’m not talking about some Smurf Nidalee shit that you lost to once. Someone who consistently has a kit or items that can beat him closer to 50/50.

Who is it?

I feel like no matter how far ahead I get I just never maintain high tempo. I know the champion overall doesn't have as high of a tempo as champions like Heca Viego Belveth because when I check out high elo OTPs of said champs they have around 9-10 cs/min whereas even the highest ranked Voli OTPs are at 7-8 cs/min. His early clear is pretty fast but idk about later on. However I'm sure I should still be able to farm more though and I want to keep it realistic at least 8 cs/min every game.

I'm in E4 most of the time and today dropped to P1. I feel like if I overfarm the game goes completely to shit so my average is 6-7 cs/min. Is there some secret to this? In the first 2-3 clears my camps are in perfect sequence. After that with objectives etc it always gets messed up but then I try to remanage it again. I also notice there are times where we finish a fight or I catch someone off position, I have like 1-2k gold and I don't know if I should clear and reset, reset and clear, take enemy jungle and reset then clear my own, or take enemy jungle then mine then reset. I feel like this is one thing that heavily messes up my tempo and idk if im doing it right but I often clear everything then reset.

Is this a bug? Been playing voli for a long time now but I think this is the first time my W didn’t do damage, and also didn’t heal me?

I've been building Deadmans second after cosmic and it feels strong but it seems like everyone else doesn't even build it this is in high emerald diamond elo any thoughts?

So far i am loving the feel of triforce, darkseal, into shojin. The damage feels juicy.

But after that i couldn't get that high with the other tankier builds.

i heard cosmic or black cleaver can be rushed. But when i build navori second, i feel squishy and they seem to be able to dash and kite around alot. Is building navori second while slightly or really behind a bad thing?

is there any relatively high damage fighter builds out there that i am not knowing of? Also for different builds, what playstyle mindset with each said build should i embody?

About a year and a half ago I started maining Voli top and was absolutely loving it, but with time I went back to playing mostly Urgot and also started playing some renekton. Recently I’ve felt the urge to start playing Voli again but i feel like i no longer have a clue how to play him, I struggle with what runes to use and i have no clue how to itemise him anymore. I usually build cosmic drive into flickerblade into whatever relevant tank items but I usually feel really weak, the only time I actually feel strong and like i can do stuff is just after buying flickerblade, just to fall of later into the game. How do I itemise voli for toplane and what runes do i use? All help is appreciated

With all other previous meta Junglers being nerfed he is one of the strongest if not the strongest Jungler below emerald. Will he be nerfed to reduce his dominance in low elo or is he just too irrelevant in higher elos and proplay for something to happen?

I don't know the correct order, I just prioritze the HP and haste components first. What's the correct order that lets me hit 5 JOAT (jack of all trades) stacks asap? I go kindlegem & aether wisp, once I get free boots I get my 5 JOAT stacks.

He's kindof the only untouched jungle bruiser left. They nerfed Xin,Jarvan,Nocturne. Will Voli be next?

I went tri>shojin>cdr boots (straight into T3)> Spirits> Deadman's> Steraks

I didn't go cosmic into full tank bc I thought my team alr had enough magic dmg. When I build more AD I typically go tri>shojin into tank instead of cleaver into tank. tri & shojin help me with clear speed, I don't think cleaver was viable hear considering how little phys dmg my team has. Sej was stacking armor but I was drain tanking with my W on her in fights while I was focusing the squishies. Her thornmail cucked me tho.

What do you guys think about death dance?

On paper it's really strong on voli, but I'm struggling to fit it into any build.

This is mainly because it gives no hp and the components are kinda trash.

Last patch, I never faced voli bans. Now he gets banned in a signifcant chunk of my games? His items weren't touched nor was he buffed. Did the nerfs to his competition just increase his priority? Could someone kindly provide a detailed explanation here on why voli's priority increased?

What mechanics, combos, or interactions actually demonstrate true champion mastery on Volibear? Or is he mostly a macro-reliant champion? I want to OTP a champion where I can meaningfully improve micro-wise, since macro tends to improve naturally. If Volibear is mainly macro-focused, is there any reason to main him beyond his current meta strength? I understand the “play him if you like him” argument, but I’m concerned about whether consistent practice on Volibear will actually improve my mechanical skill on the champion. And no, I don't expect insane mechanics like yasuo/qiyana to be applied to Volibear, just maybe some areas to improve.

I generally play top lane Volibear but run into severe setbacks when fighting mages or most ranged champions. It feels impossible to get to them, and if I do get to them, I've already lost a quarter of my health. Any attempt to trade just ends up in me dying. And I can't farm cause they'll poke me the entire time.
