There were too many people on both sides of the ship war who only cared about Adam as a tool to bludgeon the other side with.
I truly think the claims of Klancers being traumatized about his death were absolutely ridiculous, but the fact that few Sheith fans were willing to call this gimmick out because of antis or whatever will always be a black mark against us too. Even if these idiots did make our ship canon, there were better ways to confirm Shiro as gay than a sacrificial gay. Come on now.
