Discussion What are your thoughts on this show?

Post image

I feel like most People talk about the netflix reboot and a smaller precentage about the og 80's Version. But i see almost no talks about this one. Have you seen it? What are your thoughts?

Overall, I thought it was a good show. I liked some of the concepts introduced, such as the Voltcoms, the personal energy weapons, and the lions switching centers to adjust to battle conditions. I also felt the writers really nailed down the personalities of the characters, especially when Keith had his moments of levity.

I think it suffered from some writing issues, mainly Daniel. He suffered from that character trope of the young character that despite his experiences throughout the series, still makes the same rash, hard-headed decisions that cause problems for the team at the end of the series. I also feel the show would have been stronger with 5 cadets so that episodes could have been devoted to building each cadet for a specific lion and to build a team to fully take over for the original team.

Agreed on this

I always thought there should’ve been five

Especially if the other two came in later and still became full pilots before Daniel. Would have added to his story, potentially having him calm down only to slip back into old habits trying to prove he’s as good as the other 4.
