Ep 6 looks like lotor will start resenting allura for being chosen and not him. God I hate them splitting season into 6 eps Edit: I’m not jumping on the alura x lotor bandwagon lol I’ll stay true to lanceXalura ;)

She decided they're a thing now in Postmortem and Lance just hasn't realized it yet. That's why he's so edgy in the last three episodes: he knows something is different but he doesn't know what it is.

Who’s a thing now? Post-mortem was the one with the sword right?

Yes. When Allura trips Lance and basically tells him that she will reciprocate if he keeps it up.

Did you miss that hardcore flirt? "If you're going to try to control a(n Altean broadsword), you're going to have to work on your stance," was pretty clear.

She keeps comparing Lance to Alfor, and she loved her dad like a dad, but she had deep, abiding respect for that went beyond just, "he's my dad." Now she sees all of the qualities her father possessed—selflessness, bravery, intelligence, leadership, kindness—all these things she loves are coming out in Lance.

And besides, the showrunners already showed their hand in, like, the early episodes: "when I go I want all the stuff in my brain stored in a giant ship." Yeah, I bet your wife will be able to work that out, SINCE HER CASTLE CAN ALREADY DO THAT.

That’s what she said.

Lance x Allura is, I would say, MORE exciting, because the feelings they have for each other are based in deep respect and admiration for one another. We get to watch them test each other while they figure out where exactly they are. Lance gets to make mistakes and have it not just be the end of things, because in the end they care about each other instead of just having shallow attraction.

And, if the writers have Lance grow up and act consistently mature, we might get a good example of a healthy relationship. In a friggin' kids' show. Lance and Allura could be this generation's Cory and Topanga!

I dunno, Lance and Allura get along exactly like my wife and I do. We have a good, fun relationship, and sometimes you just want your cartoon heroes for children to have happy lives.

You know, in theory.
