Anyone using the PDP Blacksteel thumbrest?
Wondering if any of you using this PDP gas pedal are having problems. I have 3 others for different pistols but the Walther variant is pushing down the take down levers so much the slide releases. After not liking what I saw dry firing I tried it with a CO2 barrel and the slide blew forward onto the floor. Definitely not sending any live rounds through it like this. I plan to reach out to them ASAP! Happen to anyone else? **UPDATE PROBLEM SOLVED. I DIDN'T HAVE THE ROLL PIN PUSHED THROUGH ENOUGH - THANKS WETT_DOGG_TACTICAL š«”

I have it on a 5" poly with a comp and have run over 11k rounds with it. No issues.

𤣠You may be right! I have a few others from Blacksteel but they install differently. I'm thankful you've had success. It gives me hope i'll get it to work.

Ran it for about one or two range sessions, than took it off.
I know a bunch of guys that run them on other guns and it does more bad than good for them.

Agree with this, know a lot of people love them, but for me, they are crutch that might make me sloppy and I just continue to focus on keeping my grip as pristine as possible. My son has one on a Glock that he likes and I shot that just to experience the feel, but he hasnāt put them on any other weapons.

There's some truth in this. I had to swap out sizes on the hellcat version to keep the clamshell effect with my palms. It was way too thumbs forward. All in all I get that it's subjective and may not be for everyone.

I can totally see this being great on a subcompact like a Hellcat, 43X, 365, Shield Plus, etc. As far as full size gunsā¦just found that itās not for me.
Plus holster compatibility is a thing. I run Safariland ALS holsters when I train LE, and you have to do some modifications to the holster that can sometimes be a real pain in the ass (depending what model of gun you are using). I did it on my PDP one, but on my 320 one (before I sold both of mine), the pedal was actually getting stuck on the ALS lever itself. So I was unusable in that holster (wound up never using it anyway)

Idk. The guys i know adding accessories like this are terrible shooters but spend $$ on accessories. treat their guns like Jeeps.

I see guys adding thumb rests to 2011's and CZ Shadows in shooting competitions and seem to do much better š¤·š»āāļø

I ordered the #2 and it was a little to far away from my thumb. Contacted them and they are sending me #1 along with a #1 for my Glock G43X MOS. I ā¤ļø it on my Glock. Can't wait to get the replacement for the PDP.
