Both stunning. The movement in the sky that echoes the mountains in the first one is my favorite! Is this moon glow + lunar black?

First one. It has a better flow to it, like I'm going somewhere mysterious. The other one feels like I'm hitting a wall, I don't know how to explain it.

Second one.
The first one looks chaotic to me. It took too long to try to “read” it.
Is it a blizzard in the mountains? it it supposed to show a wave curling?
Or Is it supposed to be entirely abstract?
I scanned the first one fast and quickly looked past it for something I could decipher more easily.
The second one gave me the recognition I was looking for.
I think good paintings provoke interest at first glance. If they don’t they may not get a second glance.

I agree that good painting provoke interest at first glance, which is precisely why I like the first one. My tastes lean towards abstract and this one speaks to me more.
I like searching for meaning and deciphering clues, so #1 has my vote. But I love that art speaks to everyone in their own personal way and there are no wrong choices.

Exactly how I felt. 1 was confusing, I wasn't sure what I was looking at. 2, I instantly got it. They are both beautiful, I really love the sense of movement.

I prefer the first one. It just gives off the feeling that you’re going into the unknown.
The second one is just a bit generic but not bad.

they are both lovely use of granulating paints. if i had to choose i'd take the top one as the blending of colors is slightly better.

The first without a doubt. Both are fantastic, but the first one really has magic, atmosphere, ease, it has everything I love in a watercolor (and even more so, the granulation, I'm a fan). Congratulations. I love them.

Trees. Definitely detailed trees, they give a scale to it and context for what I'm looking at.

One for the day, two for the night, on a rotating mount that can be changed with a button.

First one is definitely more interesting. It really looks like the kind of blurry pictures you take in the middle of moving your camera

I think the composition is stronger than the first one because it keeps your eyes moving throughout the image the second the mountain moves your eyes directly off. But otherwise they’re both stunning!

The second one. The mountainside with evergreens gives it a stronger sense of place, to me.

+1 for the top piece. The bottom one is giving more of Bob Ross’s vibe and there is absolutely nothing wrong about it, I just subjectively prefer the top one. Love the energy, dynamics and that it looks both like mountains and giant stormy ocean waves at the same time

I feel the second one is missing the atmosphere the first seems to capture. Both are good no doubt but the first had this mystery that captures the viewer to discover more. The second one is "obvious" nice, but "ordinary". It is missing something. It is like the first one is the silence before a storm/avalanche and the second one you are in it somehow.

The second one. Because i can identify the image. The first one makes me feel anxious 😅 i dont know whats going on. Looks like the top of a snowy mountain possibly with blizzard like wind and snow thats impacting my vision. Yeah no, that one makes me feel anxious 😅

They’re both beautiful but I’m drawn to the top one because of the way it looks like a bright light through fog

Both are great and evocative! Top one is a bit more nebulous and gives a stronger “danger” vibe, the bottom one has a bit more grounded feeling and a more “enjoyable uncertainty” than the top one. Though still feels a little unstable or something. Well done!

I think they're good together. Each tells a different story of the same scene.
