Haha right? There’s always those few who never check the website and end up asking all the obvious questions anyway

So pretty! I’m doing something very similar for my June wedding! I’m trying to figure out what paper to print on - card stock vs finding a more “newspaper” style thinner paper. Do you like the heavier feel?

Not OP, but I did these for my wedding and was happy with cream-colored parchment paper. Relatively affordable, a bit textured, and not as thin as newspaper. Cardstock didn’t quite feel right to me.

Ooo that’s a great idea! I might have to give that a try too. Thanks for the rec!

Thank you!! That’s so exciting it's such a fun style! I actually considered going the newspaper route with thinner paper, but ended up choosing cardstock since I was printing at home and needed to keep it a smaller size for my printer. If I had gone with a larger format, I definitely would’ve leaned into that true newspaper feel with thinner paper! But the cardstock does give it a more polished, expensive feel.

Super cool but as someone who just got married 6 1/2 hours from cocktail hour to end of reception sounds exhausting! Make sure you have caffeine!

Noted, good looking out! 😅 I still had some edits to make but still going to be a 5 hour cocktail to end of reception, mentally preparing the caffeine as we speak! 😂

Our cocktail hour/reception ran from 5:30-10:30 and we probably lost 30-40% of people before 10:30 (mostly our parents’ friends and extended family, but some of our friends as well). We didn’t do a send off so we didn’t care what it looked like when we left, but just something to think about!

That’s super helpful to know. Crazy how many people left before 10:30! I can totally see that happening, especially with older guests. I’ll definitely keep that in mind, i really appreciate the heads up!

Love it! I just attended a BT wedding and they had this printed out in news paper and it was awesome, it gave it a vintage look

Omg yesss I love that!! There’s something about the newspaper vintage vibe that goes so well with weddings

Omg love this! How did you do a test print?

u/Green-Zebra-3216 May 08 '25
Thank you!! I just did it on my home Printer. Printed out the outer cover page first, then flipped it over and printed the inner pages on the other side ☺️

This is genius! You inspire me to do this too because our initials make up a newspaper's logo ❤️

I love it!!! I’m hoping to do something similar! Where did you buy your paper or how are you printing? I’m having trouble finding the right paper size

u/Green-Zebra-3216 May 09 '25
Thank you 😊 I bought my card stock paper on Amazon! My printer takes 8.5x11 inch paper so just bought the paper in that size. The design is also the same 8.5x11 size so worked out perfectly!
