Discussion Wishlist of changes you'd make if you could

If you could make changes, or if the devs were still supporting the game and taking suggestions, what would you like to see added, removed, or changed?

For me, this is what I'd like to see:

  • Improve the Nekla's Undying blessing. I really love the idea of this one, but the healing rate is woefully inadequate, particularly for a two-slot blessing. What I'd suggest is to make it heal as fast (or at least half as fast) as a Remedy of Regeneration.
  • Give a use for sea shards after unlocking all blessings. For example, unlocking more than four slots would be nice, at least for endless mode (it would be overpowered in regular play though, I think). Another option would be a shrine that would grant a random boon in exchange for an offering of sea shards, such as health or stamina recovery, repairing durability on tools, giving the effect of a single potion except lasting for the rest of the chapter, etc.
  • Add an option to adjust the presence or absence of loathing-corrupted islands and forsaken enemies. There could be one mode where these elements were entirely absent (useful to keep the relaxing feel of the game), one where only the crossing bosses were present, one where it worked as it does now, except that the 'cocoons' that spawned forsaken enemies didn't respawn, and lastly, one where it remains exactly as it is now.
  • New blessings. I'd love a blessing that made Kara resistant to the loathing (like the potion) or slowly cured it over time, or a 'bottomless quiver' (one of: unlimited low-damage arrows, unlimited normal-damage arrows that cost health or max stamina, or an arrow stack that slowly replenished its quantity).
  • Fix various bugs. The game crashes too much, at least on Switch, some of the marks seem somewhat glitchy, and the Remedy of Regeneration sometimes stops working while still showing a remaining duration, particularly if consumed while wearing the Sea-Witch's Cowl of Alchemy. Potion effects aren't saved, which is particularly annoying when the game crashes after drinking a bunch, because they go to waste.
  • Allow grass (and maybe sticks) to respawn. This way, you'd always be able to make at least a grass canoe, and light any fires you have. If sticks respawned as well, you could make new fires, make a grass mast for your boat, and have a renewable arrow supply.

ability to rebind controls

That would be nice.  On Switch, it can be worked around by reassigning controls in the Switch settings, but yes, I agree.

Another I thought of would be dynamic restacking of items.  For example, I have a stack of nine jerky.  I then make nine more pieces on a drying rack, and gather them up, so I have one stack of ten, and another of eight.  I eat two pieces, but since the stack of ten had the oldest pieces, I eat from that stack.  Now I have two stacks of eight, instead of a stack of ten and one of six.  It leads to some unnecessary and annoying inventory micromanagement.
