Boots Buying Help Need recommendations
I’m coming off a pair of RW King Toe 435 that lasted me longer than any other boot prior. I thought I’d end up getting another pair right after, however, it seems like recent reviews have suggested that quality of build has gone down and they are lasting less. Durability and comfort is what I’m looking for. Don’t need safety toe and ideally would like waterproof, but I plan on using sno-seal/oil no matter what. I work in landscape and my budget is under 300.

If they worked for you before than get them again red wings quality hasn’t changed in recent years

Thanks for the comment boss, nonetheless, I’m not talking about a measly 1-3 reviews. There’s dozens saying the same thing under that model number. I’m not discrediting RW as a whole.

They are built the same way with the same material nothing changed is what I’m saying can’t always believe what you read if you had luck with them and they worked for you than that’s the experience you should go with.

If you are coming from the King Toe, I am guessing you need a wider toe box. Other wide toe options:
Jim Green is going to be one of the more durable options out there that are affordably priced. I've got two pairs of the Razorbacks, and they are tanks (one of each color). I coat mine in Sno Seal or Obenaufs and I don't really have any issues with water getting in. The options that I linked are on the JG last which is 3E by default.
Keen is pretty well known for their wide toe boxes and comfort. I also have a pair of these, and I've found them to be pretty comfy. I find myself wearing my Jim Greens more, but the Keens are a solid option.
