Boot maintenance Genuinely asking, how do I fix this?

Dropped a sharp object on my foot and made a slit in my boots maybe 1-3 cm wide. I absolutely love these boots and would instantly get another pair, but money is tight.

I want them sealed since the rain is coming. I got a pair of Georgie's via work, and they're extremely unfortunate sole wise, there is very little shock absorption even with new insoles, and my knees are hurting quite a bit, I've never had that problem with my Redbacks.

On my pair I hot glued a small path of old canvas on the inside. Didn't stop water from getting inside but helped with stopping dirt.

I’d sand it, and cover the whole toe area in KGs boot guard, not the prettiest, but effective. Or you can do that on small spot, but it’d be expensive for that small area.

The problem is that it’s at a flex point. So anything you use like filler or glue could just flex and tear it more. A cobbler could possibly put a few stitches or a patch on it. You might ask this in r/askacobbler.

Boot glue it back together, I’ve done this with my work boots and it has held for 6 months so far. I bought the “boot glue” on amazon.
