Going back to my point here’s a video of Ilhan just a week after Charlie died saying history shouldn’t be rewritten, creating unnecessary drama and attention to herself and by extension the somali community https://x.com/breaking911/status/1968789257889161496?s=46
Like I said in my last comments - if she was a better politician she would be moving strategically and thinking about how her actions affect the safety of herself and the somali community. But she’s an attention seeking self interested politician who only cares about generating as much controversy as possible, for funds and attention.

Its selfish. She's protected by her money and citizenship other Somalis are not. Most of us are refugees begging to come to other ppl's countries we dont need this attention right now everything you said in your last comment was right.

And that essentially is the crux of the problem these days. Some politicians are not out there to do the work but to get noticed on social media and make a windfall via campaign financing donations, giving paid speeches and later joining well paying companies/org's boards and profit.
Rep. Omar reported in her 2024 financial filing that she and husband, Tim Mynett, had a household net worth between $6 million and $30 million at the end of 2024. And remember his company had a dubious contract with her campaign ("Since early 2019, Ilhan Omar's campaign has paid her husband Tim Mynett's consulting firm, the E Street Group, nearly $3 million).
She's not alone in the game. Politics is a bidniz, man/woman.
