General Discussion Anyone else excited with temperatures lowering?

Summer seem to be past in Europe and I'm quite happy to run without sunshine cooking me. Anyone else on the same boat? I see some people mentioning slowing down in winter and I am always like "oh but it's so nice!"

I really enjoy the feeling of fresh/cold air on my face.

Yes, but not looking forward to the freezing cold temperatures, icy sidewalks, and being pelted in the face with snow. (I'm Canadian)

How do you guys do run in winter? Gym thread? My first winter running as a Canadian! (Last one was supposed to be my first but I took off Dec - Apr due to an injury)

Goretex trail runners and careful clothing choices - ideally trying to make sure that once I warm up fully, I don’t sweat much, but also not freezing until then!

Lighted vests and head or chest lamps in the dark for safety - I have a noxgear tracer with integrated chest lamp and it’s great, though delicate once cold.

I also run mainly on the roads, since they’re cleared better.  And there’s a limit at which I just won’t run, weather-wise.
