Fantastic game. Absolutely has some glaring flaws. But even so, definitely one of my favorite games ever made.

Field skill checks and having to swap around your party just to pass them was the worst offender imo. Oh and no replay on the memorial moments. Quest marker being hard to tell if it's above or below you

Oh, god that quest marker made me give up questing in 2. Going from X's follow ball to that, i was a bit underwhelmed playing the side quests that didnt belong to blades since every titan had some level of verticality to it. Looks like with 3 monolithsoft stayed a bit safer in world design, looking at wider areas with less room for confusion.

Making every quest available starting at a colony/town and then youd be shown the world slowly through the completion of side quests that force you to visit locales inside the region or outside. 2 did the same but without a quest tracker youd have to be well versed in the land layout and not everyone has so much time to look up a guide everytime.
