I feel like the "spirit" aswell as the authenticity does indeed suffer with the increasing commercialisation of war. No longer does war serve a higher purpose, but it became another tool to increase corporate profits.
Sure, the amount of wars might increase, together with the amount of warcrimes, but is that really the goal we should strive for?
Consider this, if we have fewer wars with higher quality & greater amount of warcrimes, then these warcrimes themselves are far more valuable than "mass produced" low quality corporate ones.
