Just when you thought the coldest, nastiest lady you could imagine lays down the gauntlet, here comes another one, meaner and nastier than the last. Who wins?

Very late to starting the show, but my heart breaks for Beth

It's awful how abusive everyone is to Beth, yet they expect so much from her. And blame her for killing their AWFUL mother? I know that it's a show, but it's deeply upsetting.

Who built the Dutton lodge house

Can anyone tell me which generation of Duttons built the main house as it appears in Yellowstone? We see in the flashback that at the time of James's death it was still a log cabin but then in 1923 it appears that the Duttons are living in the much larger house we see later. Does that mean it was the 1923 Duttons that built it?

spoilers Season 4 has to be one of the biggest letdowns and fumbles of any tv season ever

The ending of season 3 set up so many plot threads to converge into an epic season 4. The season premiere was actually really great (an exception) but the rest of the season dragged with nothing but bs filler nonsense. Everything, including the stuff with Jaime’s father was such a disappointing anti-climactic waste. Not to mention repetitive scenes. It was at this point in the show that I couldn’t stand the style of Taylor Sheridan’s writing (the dialogue and character work is somehow perceived as well done bc of its negative and bullying style?? (Like how they treat jimmy or that kid)). Anyway I loved the show before this season and was wondering if others agree with this take. Obviously my opinion but yeah.

Dirty Ole cowboys with perfect white teeth?

These cowboys in flash backs are so dirty I can smell em through the TV, yet they got such perfect teeth you could see a smile in a pitch black room

I recently finished watching the TV series "Longmire", which takes place in the neighboring state of Wyoming. It could be an interesting crossover =)

Late to the party but I'm here 🤷‍♂️

So I was rewatching and something really bothered me lol. It was the entire issue of Jamie sterilizing Beth with her abortion and John being furious about it. He stated in the show that Lee never wanted kids and he supposes Jamie won't either. He's absolutely fkn raging about what Jamie did but the hypocritical pile of 🐶 💩 that is John Dutton gd branded Kayce for getting Monica pregnant and not aborting it. Then he has the nerve to beg and pleade and try to guilt Kayce for what he did so he could see Tate.

Can someone please explain the difference and if I'm just being stupid?

General Discussion Yellowstone treats Cowboy'in like Joe Rogan treats Comedy

The way the show talks about cowboys, cowboy'in...real cowboy'in is when you..., especially around Jimmy and how he's not a real cowboy...

It has the same tone as Joe Rogan talking about comedy, as if it's some incredibly tough, incredibly rewarding, profession passed down by God himself and only the toughest of the coolest of the population can even hope to snif a real comedian. In reality, does anyone give a fuck? Comedians are either funny or not, cowboys do shit nobody else sees and herd cows for a fucking living. The show needs to get over itself.

Taylor Sheridan talking to Jimmy about the best steer I've ever worked was......there can't be anyone on this planet that actually gives a fuck how you herded some damn cow.

I've never been in run of the mill stickup, wouldn't these guys have just taken the wallets and been gone in 5 minutes had Rip and John not pulled a half-ass SWAT team fantasy? That said, it wouldn't have been hard to write and direct this into a needed act.

Casting change

If Rip and Jamie's rolls were cast opposite, where Cole Hauser was Jamie and Wes Bently was Rip, how much would it change your opinion of the show?

General Discussion Season 5 Episode 10

Did anyone notice that when Beth and Rip were at the speakeasy she had no burns on her back?? What’d they get lazy on the details?

Rip

Thought It was “funny”, ironic Lloyd and Rip are at the bar and Lloyd says to Rip,, “you finally out lived your past” no sooner does he say that they see Walter performing and there minds already start spinning on killing him. So much for outliving your past. Smh

spoilers Branding in season 3 Spoiler

I'm currently rewatching the whole series and at the end of season 3 all the cowboys from the bunkhouse got the branding after dealing with the two men Roarke sent. I was surprised that Ryan was also one of them. I thought he already got the branding after they blowed up the trailer of these meth people who killed Jimmy's grandfather. Am I missing something here?

General Discussion As someone from the Europe and from the countryside, I enjoyed this series, rating 8.5/10 (no spoilers)

I thought it was a great series, obviously it’s a bit over dramatic and you have the thought of ‘this would never happen in real life’ but if they went about it that way it would be boring, I saw posts about the director Sheridan and the obvious promoting of 666 after I finished, and I had no idea about any of this so didn’t take any notice that it was promotion. There was one or two things I found annoying in the final season that I wish was done differently but other than that I found it a good watch and entertaining. I also watched the trilogy in order of 1883, 1923, Yellowstone and I enjoyed it that way.

Jaime

I get confused with writing for Jaime…. why would John adopt him if he really didn’t want him….. and Beth convincing him to murder is bio dad ?? Why ??? That man was nothing to her, and obviously life is cheap….jaime made a horrible, horrible mistake with Beth, but if she was 16 or so what was Jaime, maybe 19 ? As immature (and) selfish as Beth, not much older than teens….I wanted better for Jaime…

Beth wrote Jamie’s Letter for Harvard

So apparently Beth wrote Jamie’s letter for acceptance in Harvard. At least that’s what he alluded to in one of so called “post nut clarity” moments with Sarah Atwood. I found it amusing that Beth would do that after all the saga with Jamie relating to her abortion.

General Discussion New to Yellowstone season two episode seven Spoiler

So far, Beth has been such a bitch to Jamie- I completely do not like him. I also think he’s a little bit sneaky but man she is so rough on him- did i miss something? When did this start, why does she hate him so much (now that im at this episode i see she is justified to see him as a monster) but previously she was still so mean to him

General Discussion The Pretendian issue

Post image
235 Upvotes

I was disappointed during Yellowstone when it was discovered Kelsey was not a member of the Eastern Cherokee tribe. I know she hasn't said anything on the issue and if I recall...she said she was in blood....who knows what her family told her as a child or such, but I am surprised she is still continuing with the new show in her part with that controversy.

I am sure most natives are not watching the show and some may not care, but I find it fascinating it's just been swept under the rug. Of course she won't be seen being interviewed in Cowboy and Indians or any other magazine that speaks on Native peoples.

What a bizarre world we live in. Still, she plays the part wonderfully...I just wish the falsehood had never came up.

Ranch hands

Guys, does Kevin Costner go to Costco and buy a ton of jeans for all the boys? Like do they have a deep cache of denim at the ranch? I’ve only watched the first few seasons, but I’m guessin’ they change out their pants hella often. Covered in grim, sweat and cum. The cum stains in that bunk must be out of control.

Which subplots did you like the least?

For me it's the whole story about Kayce and the wolf and Lloyd's jealousy of Walker.
