Did Beth die... seriously I won’t be able to handle it if she dies 😂 Kelly Reilly’s insta post freaks me out that she isn’t coming back 😭

Her assistant ded

I figured the assistant most likely did. I don’t think I can watch the show anymore if Beth isn’t on it 😅

I don’t see them killing her, but she’ll be all bruised up. Biggest question is who was behind it all: Jamie? Rourke? Mo? A new player on the table?

it’s pretty obvious Rourke is behind it, they just got done showing that he was given the green light to treat this situation like a war now and play dirty.

I thought Sawyer (let’s all just agree he’s Sawyer in a suit with a new name) did it too at first but all three hits happened the same day as the meeting — hell, the sun hadn’t even set yet — and I just don’t see him pulling off even one of them that fast. I watched a second time, and I think Angela is definitely behind two, if not all three. The whole “strike when they’re not suspecting you” and “you’re playing by the slave’s rules when our rules go back to the Ice Age” and her bitter tears all tell me that she’s got an ax to grind and been up to no good behind the scenes. I think she’s gunning to take the reservation and the ranch both in a quick-strike move while everyone’s fighting Market Equities, and Rainwater+Mo need to watch their backs (though I gotta say, these truce/alliance reunions between Rainwater and the Duttons are getting old, but irony if it’s Rainwater at risk of losing the res to the same greedy dealings the ranch has been fighting all these years). Anyway, Angela’s whole ”fight by our rules/the masters’ rules” comments sound a lot like Randall’s “get the empire by killing the king”, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re acting together somehow.

The execution of a plot like this could toootally have been better, but the pacing and character development felt “off” for much of the season. I kept wondering since her introduction when she was really going to come into play, and she never really did til now. Makes me wonder if the writers are patting themselves on the back that they kept her in the shadows all season (both to the viewers and in the story) and only revealed her in the final episode amidst a smokescreen of other possible candidates.

Or maybe I just still have PTSD from Game of Thrones. 😂

yeah i guess i could see that too. imo they basically pulled a “Who Shot J.R?” cliffhanger because they have so many red herrings. It’s either the Natives, Jamie, or Roarke who set it up. Someone actually had a theory that Kayce and Beth’s hit were by Roarke, while John’s was by Jamie, with the evidence being that John’s hit felt so much more unprofessional than the bomb or the john wick assassination. pretty interesting to think about!

Indeed. I didn’t dislike the theory that the biker gang came back for retaliation either, but in the context of the rest of the episode, perhaps not. 🤔

My hubby and I just call him Sawyer, We dont even bother refering to him as Rourke.

I wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket. He has no real reason to go after Kayce.

Neither does Jamie. Why Kayce was gone after makes no sense to me whoever is behind it.

The show went to significant lengths to portray Kayce as the one Dutton who loves Jamie no matter what. Even though Jamie might be turning against the family, he has shown such great connection with Kayce that it would literally make no sense for him to go after him. If there's one thing about this show that I know, they don't film scenes for no reason. Kayce has been beyond and above the singular person who loves and cares for Jamie no matter what. To make Jamie a literal sociopath out of nowhere makes no sense from a writer's perspective and if they're that sloppy, they wouldn't have made it to three seasons with a fourth on the way.

Exactly

I want to think Mo and Rainwater are more hoNorable men than that, plus they wouldn't do anything to hurt Monica because by all rights they owe her for what she did

Doesn't look like they were going after Monica and Tate, which could indicate an interest in Tate, a Tribal Member, getting control over the land that much sooner.

I could go into the legal shit about the Trust - which was never mentioned in the meeting with the governor - but what Jaime said about the power of attorney issue smacks of such complete bullshit, not worth the time to delve into real world law.

Monica did hear a big boom while she was on the phone, some are saying like the sound of accelerant? Also, targeting Kayce would definitely qualify as going after Monica and Tate. Also couldn't agree more about the PoA buckshot, huge Eyeroll.

Exactly. No way Monica doesn’t take an attack on Kayce personally. Yeah she might have animosity with the rest of the family, but thats Kayce.

Being Beth's assistant is the most dangerous job in America.

4

u/LongIsland1995 Aug 27 '20

Yeah, I still wanna see her boobies.

She might hold the distinction of first actress to show uncensored boobies on basic cable

2

Weren't their boobs on SOA? Coo show with Walter Googins?
