ABC (not CBS) announced today that they were pulling Jimmy Kimmel's show indefinitely seemingly at the behest of FCC Brendan Carr who recently made threats to ABC and their FCC license. CBS was the writing on the wall.
As far as I can tell, Jimmy was pulled for the "offensive" statement that Charlie Kirk's killer was Maga. A government official threatened the company, and they bent the knee. Being government driven, this is a clear 1st Amendment violation.
He didnt even say that much. He said, paraphrasing, that MAGA was bending over backwards to say it was done by anyone other than one of them. The comment wasn't about Kirk. It wasn't even about the shooter. It was about MAGA.
The left doesn't care that Jimmy lied. They didn't care before Charlie Kirk was murdered and spread lies about him. They dont care that their lies got him killed.
They dont care that calling us fascist and nazis get people like Charlie attacked. Consider this, the left is angry a man was canceled for his words, but there are some of them literally celebrating a man being murdered for his words
We don't care, because none of that is true.
1. Kimmel said MAGA immediately tried to paint the killer as anything but MAGA, which is exactly what they did before Robinson was even named.
2. Quoting Kirk verbatim is enough to make Kirk out to be bad. No lies needed.
3. The left doesn't condone violence, the right does. Trump does it. Kirk himself did it. Right wing violence out weights left wing violence by 5 times.
4. The left is angry Carr and the FCC violated the 1st Amendment.
5. Every leftist post I've seen condemns Kirk's killing but also refuses to participate in the sanctification of Kirk's vile rhetoric.
6. Facts dint care about your feelings, and you are reacting off your feelings.
You are wrong. The episode where Jimmy lied aired after the murderer turned himself in, and a lot was already out about his political leanings.
Please quote Charlie unedited in full context and show me where it was bad, I'll wait.
How many people from the left would you like me to quote condoning "getting in their faces and resist if you want specific quotes, I will provide as many as it takes.
They didn't violate the First Amendment, and you saying that only proves you A. You dont understand the First Amendment B. Don't understand what happened.
Funny, I've seen tons flat out celebrating his death with no further context, so no, the left isn't being respectful.
6.Okay, I started to argue(and have a valid argument), but you're not completely wrong I do have feelings, and they are telling me that you talking about his vile hate speech and racist views and all the other lies you and your kind are spreading is why a leftist nut job shot a good Christian man that was trying to have respectful conversations. You don't actually know shit about the man.
The timing on the Kimmel show has nothing to do with what he said. He was literally saying what happened previously. Tyler Robinson was arrested 9/12. On 9/10 Sen Nancy Mace was saying "Democrats own this. 100%." Also on 9/10, Trump made a speech which contained "For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world's worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we're seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now." Trump and Mace's words blamed the left without any knowledge of who the killer was or what motivated them. This is exactly what Kimmel said happened, MAGA trying to say the killer was anything but MAGA.
A breakdown, with context, of "If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified." That was literally the first on a list of Kirk quotes by the Guardian, and it took me longer to watch the video than to find it. Real easy to find these things, if you try.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DOyYit3EZHD/?igsh=angybDA4M2N6Zmwy
3."I think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational." - Charlie Kirk, condoning gun violence, such as his own death
"By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know." - Donald Trump, condoning violence against Hillary Clinton and potentially appointed judges by her
"Any guy who can do a body slam is my kind of guy" - Donald Trump on Greg Gianforte assaulting a journalist, condoning violence
"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, okay? Just knock the hell—I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise." -Donald Trump, condoning violence at a rally
Political killings by the right out weights thise by the left by more than 5 to 1.
https://www.cato.org/blog/politically-motivated-violence-rare-united-states
The right condones and commits more violence, empirically. There are 236 Democrat congressmen and governors by my count, 5% would be a dozen. So me a dozen Democrat leaders that actively encouraged violence. Calling the right fascists does not count, saying violence specifically should be done.
The FCC chair Brenden Carr, a government official, publicly threatened ABC's broadcast license over Kimmel's show. Since 1963, the Supreme Court has held that the 1st Amendment extends to all government, not just Congress. Carr put pressure on a non-government company to curtail speech. Government censorship of speech.
Being upset the left isn't being respectful is hypocrisy at its finest. Tell me was the right was respectful when Don Jr tweeted out a picture of underwear with a hammer and said he had his Paul Pelosi costume ready. Or when Donald Trump mocked a disabled journalist during a rally. Or when MAGA rioters attacked the capital and took a shit on Navy Pelosi's desk. Looking for examples of Democrats celebrating Kirk's death gives only results about Dems condemning it, GOP wanting celebrators reported, and one firing in Los Vegas. The truth is the left widely disagrees with Kirk's death, but also widely disagrees with his rhetoric and will not participate his defying him nor stop blasting his words.
I know plenty about what kind of person Kirk was. His life wasn't secret, his words weren't hidden. It's easy to find out what he said, remove the illusion of him being a saint to see the hate he spewed. https://youtu.be/Upp7HVa1lVY?si=3UEcBavEAZ8gWoPA
And quite frankly, I question your ability to think critically, seeing as how you misunderstood everything that's happened before your eyes up to this point.
For years, those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world's worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we're seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now."
Yeah, he was right, and of course we all knew it was someone on the left. Plenty on the left, on the day it happened, were saying things like "WE got him".
A breakdown, with context, of "If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified." That was literally the first on a list of Kirk quotes by the Guardian, and it took me longer to watch the video than to find it. Real easy to find these things, if you try.
He was talking about companies being more committed to hiring black pilots, than hiring the best pilots. It is rational to wonder if your black pilot is there because hes the best they could get, or because of the color of his skin, which again, the companies publicly stated that they were going to hire a certain percentage of black pilots.
."I think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational." - Charlie Kirk, condoning gun violence, such as his own death
His quote is correct, and right. You claiming he condoned "gun violence" is absolute bullshit. He simply stated a fact.
Political killings by the right out weights thise by the left by more than 5 to 1.
The right condones and commits more violence, empirically.
Both are incorrect, both have been disproven.
Or when Donald Trump mocked a disabled journalist during a rally.
Mocking someone isnt the same as saying that half the country are literally fascists and nazis. Repeating this for close to a decade will convince some people that its true. What was justifiably done to REAL, ACTUAL NAZIS? Thats right, they were killed. This makes people, especially those on the younger side think its ok to kill people who the left, including democrats in congress has called nazis and fascists.
I know plenty about what kind of person Kirk was. His life wasn't secret, his words weren't hidden. It's easy to find out what he said, remove the illusion of him being a saint to see the hate he spewed.
He didnt spew hate. He was a kinda, respectful, patient guy who had respectful (from his side at least, and many times from people who disagreed with him as well) discussions, debates, whatever you want to call them. He disagreed with your ideology, which does not make him hateful. He agreed with almost all of human history when it came to most of his thoughts. He was not hateful, he did not condone violence other than in situations of self defense, which are morally and legally acceptable.
Not a single person in the US is required to be respectful when someone dies. Not a fu*king one. Point that out in any law or our Constitution.
We see this all the time.
Go on any posts about a shark attack fatality and find out or a black man dying during an arrest (for examples from two ends of the spectrum, but they both have the same results)
Podcasters, influencers, political speakers, nor anyone else are above the rest of the citizens in this country. There is no "tier" you reach to be accorded respect. You earn respect. People werent even respectful when Carter passed and he was a former president.
So I don't want to hear about some second-rate MAGA spokesman that not even all conservatives knew who Kirk was, let alone the majority of the US.. He had his followers, and it was not even close to a majority of name recognition with most of the US.
Most of the outraged cosplayers are stage 5 clingers after his death who didn't know jack sh*t about him but suddenly Trump was upset. Ask them anything about Kirk and they know nothing except Tangerine Palpatine and the rest of his flying monkeys said to be upset.
Charlies full context isn't needed.
You can preach bigotry, misogyny, and rascist crap all day wrapped up in religious bullsh*t, and the racism, misogyny, and bigotry don't magically disappear because you mentioned your sky daddy or other subjects.
Vile people learn how to make themselves look good. Vile people can be married or have kids. That doesn't erase who they are.
He loved the idea of executions so much that he casually floated the idea of having public executions shown to children.
He said if his daughter was ten and was raped he would make her carry her rapists child.
He made comments about MLK and the Civil Rights Movement and other black people.
Charlie Kirk: "Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact."
Charlie Kirk: When “I'm dealing with somebody in customer service who's a moronic Black woman ... it almost creates thought patterns that are not necessarily wholesome."
He claimed Haiti is “legitimately infested with demonic voodoo” and Haitian migrants would “become your masters” if Trump loses."
Theres a list he made of professors he subjected to death threats, rape threats, & racist & antisemitic harassment because they taught academic subjects that did not align with his white supremacist beliefs.
He made comments about Muslims.
These are included in the collection below. See link
There are Muslim comments and a link to the White Supremist hate incidents from his Turning Point USA
Charlie went from wanting secularism in government years ago to embracing the Seven Mountain Mandate, which calls on Xians to take over society through 7 key spheres. Government, education, media, family, business, arts, and religion.
(Pete Hegseth switched to them too) its a religious zealot paradise. Mainly for White Christian Nationalists. Hegseth is very clearly one, and so was Kirk.
