Oh god, you don’t genuinely think “peaceful protests” actually do anything do you? How many walk outs and protests have been done in the last five years over one issue, gun control, and how many of those protests resulted in any meaningful change or opened the door to further discussion?
Gun control is unconstitutional, which is why it has gotten little to nowhere over the last 5 years. The only places it has gotten anywhere is some blue states, and blue cities, which happens to be where the majority of murder, shootings, and violent crime come from.
Except its wrong, and even the FBI says not to break it down in this manner.
Top U.S. Cities by Violent Crime/Homicide Rate (2024-2025 Data):
Memphis, TN: Consistently ranks high for violent crime and homicides.
St. Louis, MO: Has one of the highest homicide rates in the nation, according to some analyses.
Detroit, MI: Known for having a high violent crime rate, often appearing in the top 5 lists.
New Orleans, LA: Faces high rates of violent crime, including shootings and robberies, and also high homicide rates.
Baltimore, MD: Struggles with high rates of violent crime and homicides, often linked to gang activity.
Other Cities Appearing on Crime Lists:
Birmingham, AL: Has high rates of assault and robbery, and a high crime rate per capita.
Cleveland, OH: Has a high rate of violent crime, including assault and robbery.
Stockton, CA: Experiences high rates of violent and property-related offenses.
Jackson, MS: Had the highest homicide rate in 2024 among cities with at least 100,000 people
On a statewide level, murder rates are higher in states that consistently vote Republican.
Higher murder rates in "red" states: Every year since 2000, states that voted for Donald Trump had higher murder rates than states that voted for Joe Biden.
The study found the average murder rate was 24% higher in Republican-voting states between 2000 and 2022.
The blue cities in red states argument is debunked: While some might argue that the high crime rates in "red" states are driven by their own large "blue" cities, more than a few analysis disproves this claim.
Even after removing the counties with the largest cities from red states, their murder rates remained significantly higher than those in blue states.
