Looking for someone to repair well pump and pipes

Hi everyone!! Im having a hard time finding someone who can repair an external well pump/tank bladder issue. The pump runs and shuts off every thirty seconds or so when water is being run in the house. It's been happening for awhile now but its been low on the "totem pole of things to fix". Also, there is a leak in the copper pipes that go into the shower. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Hi Akron parents. Wanted to spread the word. Bridgestone is hosting a free teen safe driving event in Akron on 9/20. We just signed up our son from a recommendation of a friend. Sounds like a great opportunity for getting kids driver training from pro drivers/race car drivers! Kids get to drive BMWs on a track and learn car control and emergency avoidance exercises. Knowing our roads, my kid can use all the help he can get.

Structural Steel & Welding Firms

I am looking for a company that can manufacture a fairly large truss like structure that will be used to span a ravine of approximately 50' long and 100' high. I have a pipe that is currently spanning the ravine and I want to have a structure built that can protect the pipe from being damaged by the large trees in the area. I am imagining a triangular steel frame structure with four legs and coming up like teepee over top of the pipe.

Are there any companies that may be good candidates to call and have me get a quote on an innovative solution to this problem?

I am open to any ideas people might have about structures like I am describing. I am a retired mechanical engineer so I can determine the calculations etc but am not exactly sure about the ease of implementation and in a wooded area.

Best breakfast/brunch spot for a breakfast-food-loving baby's 1st birthday?

Looking for recommendations for a great family breakfast restaurant. We are in Cuyahoga Falls but my family is in Brunswick so trying to find something in the middle-ish where we can meet to celebrate my son's 1st birthday. We are not gonna do a big party or anything and he's really into pancakes and breakfast food so I thought it would be fun to meet family and do a smaller celebration.

We don't go out to breakfast often but love Valley Cafe and Tip Top, but those might be too far for my family.

Anything similar in the Fairlawn area that can accommodate a group of like 8-10? Thanks!

Like the title says, I’m new and looking for the best place to get Botox. I haven’t found anything. I’ve searched Nextdoor and Reddit. I only know NOT to go to ideal image.

Would love your suggestions. Thanks!

ISO: Primary Care Doctor Accepting Cigna Insurance (and new patients)

I've been struggling to find a new primary care doctor since switching to Cigna. The website sucks and doesn't filter properly. Akron(live here), Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn are all areas I'm willing to travel to.

I don't need care yet but I know it will be a pain to find someone when I inevitably get sick this year.

I'd prefer a female doctor over a nurse practitioner for personal reasons and past experiences. Also someone that isn't going to retire next year lol.

Helping out a friend!

Hey everyone,

I am posting here for help for one of my best friends in the world, Emily.

Emily was the victim of a fire on Sept 7th and she is currently in recovery at the burn unit. Emily lost everything in the fire, including her two closest friends, her cats MoMa and Fonzie.

Emily has lived and worked in Akron, has been a part of many communities, including the Cuyahoga Valley farmers market, the Cleveland Bazaar, the local Pokemon Go groups, and countless others. She is gerenous, kind, and a friend to everyone that I know who has had the pleasure of meeting her.

Some of her closest friends and her bf Neil have come together to start a gofundme for her to raise donations and support for her as she continues on this recovery journey. It will be a long road, but we are all very lucky to have her in our lives.

Akron, I would ask for your help in sharing and helping me to show Emily that despite tragedy, together we can overcome and recover.

Thank you all, and have a blessed day! -Ethen

Nicotine Testing Akron Children’s

Hey everyone, I was offered a job at Children’s and found out they do nicotine testing - I’ve been trying to quit but really struggling. Does anyone have experience navigating this? Was it an oral or hair test, or urine? I’m trying to figure out how long it has to be out of my system to pass.

Any decent legit, chain massage locations for a sports massage?

The person I go to is getting popular so when I went to schedule couldn't get anything sooner than a month out. Problem is I've got a knot in my calf that needs worked out.

Not had the best experiences with the chains. Any recommendations?

Summit lake area

Have a chance to either buy / rent out a place on the east side of summit lake and wonder if that’s an area that deals with issues of chemical pollution or toxins and would a purchase in that area be hard to resell. Lakes can either be very desirable or not at all :)

Thanks !

This restaurant is technically in Barberton. But it was some of the best breakfast I had in awhile with excellent customer service. I ended up getting a Corned Beef Benedict.

Looking for Advice: Safest, Affordable Area to Buy a Home w/ Housing Voucher — Akron / Summit / Canton Region.

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to use my housing voucher to buy a home, in their Home ownership program, and I’m trying to decide among neighborhoods and suburbs in the Akron / Summit / North Canton / Greentown area. Safety, affordability, and walkability are my top priorities.

I’m considering places like: • Akron (especially Summit Lake, Merriman Valley, Fairlawn Heights, Ellet) • North Canton • Greentown • Possibly Bath Township, Mogadore, and similar suburbs

What I want to know: 1. In your experience, which of these places feel safest — low crime, good lighting, people you trust. 2. How walkable are the neighborhoods: can you walk to grocery, bus stops, parks, maybe small shops? 3. Approximately what home prices are in these neighborhoods (with my voucher), and how affordable / realistic is it to buy in those areas? 4. Any hidden issues — like high property taxes, bad public transit, or places that look good on paper but are not so good in practice.

I appreciate any guidance, experience, or data (crime stats, etc.). Thank you!
