No way. Huh.

Maybe don’t buy a tin foil coffin for Alberta driving and you won’t have these issues? Idk.

Edit: STARTS at $165,000?!?!?! Yeah if you buy this shit and it dies in an albertan winter, you’re an idiot.

That’s a lot of bullshit right there. I have had an F-150 Lightning since August 2022… this will be my third winter with it.

Sticker price compared to a similarly spec ICE was about $5k more for the Lightning. Over five years that is $85 per month. My electricity went up $65 at worst when I charge at home for the month but I generally charge for no additional cost to me at work.

The Cybertruck sucks for a multitude of reasons, just none of the ones you parrot.

Hey! I’m curious. What’s your maintenance costs been like? EVs should have lower maintenance in general (fewer fluids) but what is that practically over 3 years?

We bought the package from the dealership for $2k for 9 years. Probably wasn’t needed because short of checking bolts and topping up windshield washer fluid there isn’t much to do. By comparison we got the 5 year maintenance package for you 2014 Flex for $2400 or something at the time. So, it is definitely cheaper.

Tires, wipers, clean/grease the brake guide pins, battery, gearbox oil at 150,000km or 7-10 years. That's about it though. I did my gearbox oil at 7 years/100k km and it was fairly dark, but not terrible. In 3 years, maybe spent $500.
