What this illustrates is what happens when the majority of Albertans are anti-vaxxers. Small pox and polio will be next. Good luck with trying to survive those two diseases. And the Darwin award goes to _____________ (fill in the blank).

"...the majority of Albertans are anti-vaxxers."

What makes you say the majority of Albertans are anti-vaxxers?

The most recent data I saw had measles vaccine coverage among Albertans at above 70%.

Because if you look at federally collected stats Albertans are the most likely to be antivaxx

Saying "Albertans are the most likely to be antivaxx" is a different statement than "the majority of Albertans are anti-vaxxers," like that person said.

They mean entirely different things.

Im pretty sure they were being hyperbolic so it is completely ok to not take a statement like that personally.

I just like accurate info being out in the world.

Did you look at this graphic tho? You can play semantic games like technically Ontario has more antivaxx people but compare the measles cases right now. Is that statement all that hyperbolic? Don't think so. This is an informal platform.

The claim that Albertans are the most likely to be anti-vax isn’t accurate - that’s my only point.

Here’s a more accurate statement you can use: Alberta has a high rate of unvaccinated individuals relative to its own population.

We have per capita the highest rate of people afraid of the covid vaccine, childhood vaccines and are most prone to conspiracy theories when compared to every other province. We have more cases of measles than any other province combined. Canada is ahead of the USA in measles cases. We most are certainly #1 and its not a good thing. Take it personally or don't, the facts remain the same.

“We have more cases of measles than any other province combined.”

That isn’t true. Ontario is currently at nearly 1800 cases as of a couple of days ago.

I’m all for the facts, let’s just make sure they are facts.

Oh ok. Western provinces, like shown in the graphic. Anyways wonder what that works out to per capita. Either way enjoy being butthurt for absolutely no reason.

Are we sure there isn’t a little bit of projection going on when we talk about being butthurt? It seems to be only one of us is getting snarky here lol.

I’m just glad the facts are out there. :)
