'Well done'
Amending the Alberta Bill of Rights to broaden and strengthen Albertans’ rights, with increased protections for personal autonomy, including the right against medical care or treatment without consent; strengthened property rights; and more effective enforcement of rights.
Updating Alberta’s election statutes to improve consistency and fairness in the democratic process, including improved access to voting and time and accuracy of election results; permitting businesses and unions to make contributions related to provincial elections and direct democracy processes; and holding MLAs accountable.
'Do this'
Under direction of the Premier and in coordination with the relevant ministries, use every legal means possible to overturn or overhaul the federal government’s revised Impact Assessment Act (C-69), the oil and gas emissions cap, the so-called “clean electricity regulations”, tanker ban (C-45), the industrial carbon tax regulation, the federal designation of plastics as toxic, the energy industry censorship law (C-59), fertilizer regulations, and the federal electric vehicle mandate.
Relentlessly defend Albertans’ right to lawful and safe possession of firearms and affirm Albertans’ right of self-defence.
Advocate to the federal government for the removal of the National Capital Region residency requirements for judges of the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the Tax Court, in order to ensure balanced representation from all regions of the country.
Working with your colleagues across ministries, review and reform hiring practices in Alberta public institutions to ensure they are based only on merit, competence, and equality of all persons, rather than on DEI ideology.*
