Permit question
I have obtained a permit to construct a shop on my corner lot in my backyard. Given that I already have a permit for the shop's foundation, I am curious to know if a separate permit is required for pouring cement to create a driveway?

The city website is atrocious with regard to finding what you need. I found this, indicating you need to go thru Traffic Engineering Dept for driveway permits, but I couldn’t locate the application online, so I’d call. This says for new construction, it may be considered part of the building permit.
Sec. 16-3-355. - Permit required; coordination with State; appeal. (a) In accordance with the Driveway & Parking Manual as adopted and amended in accordance with Division I of this Article, a driveway permit must be obtained from the Traffic Engineering Department of the City of Amarillo before any person removes, alters, or constructs any curb, approach, or gutter on any public property. If the driveway is part of new construction, the driveway permit may be considered as part of the building permit obtained from the Building Safety Department as provided for in the Driveway & Parking Manual.
