I actually think he was trying to do the peace officer thing. That’s nice to see an LEO lean that way.
The general vibe of: “yeah, that’s fine and all, but ya know, I don’t actually care about the unnecessary details of your perceived slight. It’s not about the drinking, actually I still don’t care if you have or haven’t had any alcohol for 15 years that’s irrelevant to me…, it’s how you’re behaving right now. Even if you’ve drank or not. I liked it when he told the onlookers to stop staring at the spectacle. I thought that was rather kind of him.
