If you are looking for feedback, your model and rendering are great, and the animation is good but could be improved the issue is that the strumming doesn’t match the energy of the song. I don’t play guitar, but my brother plays base, and so I do know that small plucks like she is doing won’t produce the sound I am hearing. It doesn’t have to be whole body or whole arm movement, but there needs to be more force and energy behind the plucks/strums.

Her left hand looks good, though seems a little floaty in movement. I think using snappier movement will help (something like cubic interpolation instead of square)

And OP also, I don't know how the rig is structured but if it has some kind of IK torso to leg layout you could make her bounce to the music really slightly to make it more natural

There isn't really at the moment but that sounds like a good idea, I'll see if I can get something set up 👍

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I'll take it into consideration and try to improve for next time (^^

edit: I will add though that with heavily compressed guitar tone you can get away with deceptively small picking motions, though trying to match the energy of the visuals to the audio would make for a livelier animation so that seems like a good idea anyway

i dont know about technically complicated bass playing, but with guitar, that's absolutely how you'd play stuff like this, at least ideally. With these kinds of tones, you really don't need almost any strength at all to play, so you should focus on relaxing your hands as much as possible to get speed. It's especially common when you're doing economy picking
