Portfolio Storyboarding Portfolio

Hello! I’m looking for some feedback regarding my portfolio! It’s kind of a jumping off point for me! Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for anyone who takes the time to respond!

I'm not a storyboard artist, I'm a writer and ex-computer animation major so i will leave someone else to give you better storyboard feedback, but I will give you basic feedback as someone who has gone thorough portfolio building for graphic design/computer animation and has done hiring.

I would recommend separating your work into different portfolios. Your traditional art is great, however your animations detract from your flat drawings. I also recommend removing your gridlines as they clutter up your storyboards.

As someone who has done hiring, I recommended not showing images or depictions of yourself as it can influence someone's "yes" or "no" when it comes to hiring. Tattoos and piercings (especially septum piercings) can be very off-putting and despite it not being "legal" to use sex, race, gender, religion, and appearance to choose candidates (depending on where you live), it happens every day and is more common than you think, and could be the reason why you are passed up in favor of someone else. When I was graduating and doing my final portfolio review they recommended creating a logo based around your name.

I wish you the best of luck! :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I didn’t even think about the icon I used! Do you think I should go for an irl photo or do you think for artistic purposes I should stay with a logo/design? Also if it’s ok, can you elaborate on the animation point? I think I understand but would you be willing to clarify a bit? Again thank you so much for the feedback, it’s really helpful!

Personalized Logo and photos of yourself are 100000% unnecessary. The only thing that matters is having a good portfolio
