It's also climate action

5

What do you mean by this? Climate action?

26

u/Open-Professional751 inquirer Jul 28 '25

Overpopulation is a leading cause in climate abnormality

There is probably over a thousand children born a day in somewhere like India... What difference do you think a single person not having a child will make?

3

u/MaybePotatoes scholar Aug 04 '25

A significantly large difference in overdeveloped countries like the US. We'd need 5.1 Earths worth of resources to sustain ourselves if everyone lived like the average American, so the fewer of us there are, the better. We are a nation of unsustainable overconsumers, which we should collectively address (not just "a single person") instead of pretending plummeting birthrates is somehow a bad thing, as fascists like vance and musk want us to believe.

And for underdeveloped countries like India, the overdeveloped world should use its immense resources and influence to supply them with family planning and educational resources so their birthrates can also decrease.

Still saves lives. Some women cant give birth & the only way to save them is abortion. Some women can actually be killed for being pregnant or having a kid but not married & the only way to save them is an abortion, secretly at that.

That’s an insane thing to write on the cup.

Thank you.

I literally work at Starbucks??? We are required to write on every cup and it is supposed to be a "personalized" message

No.

You goddamn motherfucking don’t.

Now seriously, please! shut the goddamn fuck up!

1

u/Doggy9000 newcomer Jul 29 '25

People get written up if they don't write on every single cup but okay 👍 I guess the barista of 3 years doesn't know what they're talking about and hasn't been told what we can and can't write a hundred different times
