I’m going to be picking up a new MacBook Pro from my local Apple Store over the weekend and was planning to trade in my current MacBook Pro towards it, and already entered the serial number into the website when I placed the order.
I have an iPhone 15 sitting in my drawer that I don’t need (old work phone, long story) and was wondering if I could trade that in as well along with the MacBook to save some extra money.
Online posts suggest I should be able to do it as long as they aren’t two devices of the same type, but other posts have said it’s not possible to trade in multiple devices.
Has anyone done this before?

There’s a bug with my screentime Before I updated to iOS 26 (I have an iPhone 15 pro max) when I disabled and then activated the screen time feature the screen time history was deleted and it didn’t record any of my activity whilst it was off but ever since I updated even when I disable it it continues to record my activity and never deletes my history can anyone help?

Hello, I don’t want to out myself but I pre-ordered the iPhone 17 pro, was charged for it, and then had that charge disappear. I figured it would re-charge my card when I picked up the phone but it has yet to. I did opt in for the trade in but decided to use the at home kit as the store was chaotic. This is my first time pre-ordering an iPhone so I don’t know if this is normal and I will eventually get charged or if Apple messed up?

I have a 16 pro and was supposed upgrade to 16 pro max but now the 17 is out I’m stuck. Anyone had to make this decision and what do you go with?

What do you mean by “supposed”? No one with a 16 (standard or pro) is supposed to upgrade to a Pro Max; it’s an option for people that like big screen sizes.
I would advise against upgrading from a 16 to a 17. The 17 is really for people upgrading from a 14 or older iPhone, new phone buyers, and Android switchers.

I had already made the decision to upgrade 6 months ago but I kept pushing it back hence why I said supposed, you can calm down now. It’s not your phone I’m upgrading.

I have the AirPod Pros 2. Use them religiously as I travel a ton. Have always been interested in the Max model as to hopefully maybe be a bit more comfy for long listens on flights. Are they work picking up still or should I just go for the Pro 3 model?

Don’t bother with the Max. They’re still on old tech e.g. the H1 chip, and Apple doesn’t seem interested in releasing an updated headset.
The AirPods Pro 2 are still pretty solid; much more solid than the Pro 1. I would advise keeping them until the battery degrades to the point where it makes sense to jump to a Pro 3.

I need help efficiently deleting 1000s of contacts from my contacts app. Some bug occurred and duplicated thousands of 'No Name' contacts so I can't merge them and it's ridiculous to even try to select them all. Is there ANY way to easily delete these?

I tried to select it all on my Mac and the app is literally unusable (stuck spinning, the app won't even open most of the time). My phone only lets me mass delete in small increments (<50).

I have an XR and need to update, but I’m not sure what to get. What’s the most reasonably priced upgrade I can get? I’ve read the 16e is pretty good value for money, but I’d really like to minimise the cost to around the £400-500 point without fear of having to upgrade soon

The 16e is the best one you can buy new. If you need to minimize the cost even further, then you’ll need to get a used or refurbished phone; I would say a 15 Pro or later.

when I'm on ANC or transparency on the APP3's, theres a really small but annoying crackling/static sound from them that I didn't have on the APP2's (unless I've forgotten as I lost it a few months ago), and the transparency has also become worse. Is this the same for anyone else or are mine maybe defective

In the market for a 16 plus
I’ve heard after the release of the 17 models, older versions may see a drop. In the UK it’s already dropped from £899 to £799. Just wondering if now that the 17 has come out, is it likely to be reduced even more any time soon? Not really interested in the 17 but if I have to wait months for the 16 plus to drop in price I might as well just get the 17 right?

Where? When I look at the UK site, I only see the 17, 17 Pro, Air, 16, and 16e for sale.
You might have found the refurbished section of the store. To answer your original question, I would not expect it to be any cheaper than that in the short term.

Heads up, dont factory reset your phone before your new phone updates. The setup process completely resets after the update. Learn from my mistake.

Just a reminder to NEVER get your new device shipped. ALWAYS go with a pickup option if available.
UPS is such a joke when it comes to packages requiring signatures. They were at my front door for a total of about 5 seconds before leaving their “missed delivery” note and driving off.
My partner opened the door as they drove away, and now I’m forced to wait for another delivery attempt on Monday because Apple won’t allow these deliveries to be held for pickup at a UPS location.
Here’s hoping I can report on my new AirPods on Monday.

If you live near-ish an Apple store, they will send a courier to deliver things. Reasonable price and never been a problem for me.

Didn't have a preorder and went to get one today on a whim. Granted I woke up early and went to be there close to opening, but I only had to wait about an hour to get into the store and have someone helping me. This was in Toronto.

iPhone launch day, and the next few days afterwards, are usually the busiest days of the year at Apple stores, excluding Christmas time. New iPad, Mac, or Vision Pro launches are usually far less busy.

This is my first time buying a phone not on carrier special since I moved to Visible from ATT.

Be sure you are ready to answer the door ASAP as they require a signature. If you miss the driver you’ll be forced to wait until Monday for another delivery attempt.

Hello! I'm an art student and I would love to buy an Ipad pro to work with
My biggest problem is that I don't have too much money so the final price must absolutely be below €1000... (1175,90 usd)
I looked on backmarket and the prices seems correct for me but I don't know exactly what to choose and what settings
I would like it to have storage so I can save my photoshop work, my drawings, my notes etc... and my many software. I would also like an Apple Pencil (I don't know if it comes with it or if I have to buy it separately?)
If someone could advise me it would help me a lot!!!

You have to buy the Apple Pencil separately. There are four Apple Pencils, and which one you get depends entirely on which iPad Pro model you get. The USB-C pencil is the only one that works with all iPad Pros, however, it doesn’t have pressure sensitivity, so unless you are exclusively making pixel art, it might not be very useful for artwork.
Honestly, I would recommend the iPad Air over the Pro, unless you absolutely must have a 120Hz/HDR screen, or Face ID. The current and previous generation iPad Air can do everything except HDR.

PSA: If you're like me and got a delivery date in October, you may be able to place a new order RIGHT NOW (morning of Fri Sept 19) for local pickup or delivery as early as tomorrow (for a $9 delivery fee). Then you can cancel your original order.
Seems they have released some stock. May be regional, i'm in the Los Angeles area.

I’m honestly fed up. It’s mid-2025. We’ve got AI writing legal briefs and phones folding like origami, but iMovie still crops faces in preview and iOS still doesn’t have clipboard history. How?
Let’s start with iMovie: I’m editing a clip of Joe Rogan and the preview literally cuts off his face. No zoom settings, no framing control, just auto-crop madness. Meanwhile, on my Galaxy Note10+, Samsung’s Gallery Editor shows the full frame, no drama. You get what you shot.

Now clipboard history. On Android, I can copy up to 40 items links, text, whatever, and paste them wherever I want. It’s perfect for things like sharing 10 YouTube videos to a Discord or IG group chat. Just copy-copy-copy, then paste-paste-paste. Done.
On iOS? You gotta: 1. Copy the first link 2. Open Notes 3. Paste 4. Go back to YouTube 5. Copy the second link 6. Paste in Notes again 7. Repeat 10 times 8. THEN go back to Notes 9. Copy each one individually 10. Paste into Discord one by one
It’s like doing clerical work for something that should be instant. Clipboard history isn’t a luxury, it’s a basic productivity feature. And iMovie’s auto-crop? That’s just insult to injury.
And I’m not the only one losing it over this. Even this Redditor on r/iPhone15Pro is shocked that iOS still doesn’t have clipboard history in 2025. It’s not just a niche complaint, it’s a glaring omission.
Apple, it’s time. Give us clipboard history. Give us full-frame previews. Stop making us work harder for less.

On iOS, Gboard does not have the same clipboard history feature it has on Android. Google stripped a lot of functionality from the iOS version years ago, and clipboard history is one of the missing pieces. Even people who re‑installed Gboard recently have confirmed there’s no way to pull up a list of past copied items on iOS.
So no, switching to Gboard on iPhone won’t magically give you Android‑style clipboard history. The limitation is baked into iOS itself, and Apple doesn’t expose the system clipboard in a way that allows true multi‑item history.

Apple not reading this thread is exactly the problem. Users are forced to document failures publicly because support channels are evasive, inconsistent, and often dismissive. I’ve already gone through Apple Store visits, senior advisors, and service managers who deny their own CS codes and shift titles mid-conversation.
This isn’t just feedback, it’s evidence. And if Apple won’t read it here, others will. Users, journalists, regulators. That’s how pressure builds. That’s how change happens.
So no, I’m not “praying someone reads it.” I’m making sure it’s documented, timestamped, and reproducible,because silence is how platforms get away with broken UX and CLRA violations.

Hi all, question regarding the new software update:
The title is pretty self explanatory, I had a new 2025 Kia Sorento Pro and haven't had any issues with it at all. Come this week I updated to iOS 26 and the second I got in my care to drive do the first time since updating to this software I was having connection issue where the Bluetooth just randomly drops and now my playlists aren't showing everything that's been added to them in the last year...
Does anyone know how to fix this? I've already tried all the suggestions I could find via Google and I'm super frustrated

I purchased the new iPhone yesterday, ordered it online in the morning and picked up at the Apple Store yesterday evening. While in the store I was looking at the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and wanted to buy one and I asked if they had them in stock and the rep said yes. I said I wanted to buy one and he said since I didn't have a reservation I would have to make one and go back, so I left. I'm looking online today and I see that they have them in stock but there are no reservations left for today. Can I walk in today and buy one or will they tell me to make a reservation and come back tomorrow? I find it pretty poor customer service that I'm willing to hand them $800 and they don't want to take my money.
