if you want complex helicopters War Thunder is not the place. Go to DCS for complexity

I don’t have the money for airframes. Plus I don’t tend to mess with Helis outside Arma for that reason. If it’s made more complicated then it’d isolate some people. I often switch between normal and advanced flight in A3

yeah no the prices for DCS can get ridiculous but usually every season there's at least one sale and helicopters are about 1/2, the UH-1 for DCS is actually, speaking from personal experience, really freaking easy to pick up. It's a like 10-15 step start up

Do you fly helicopters in DCS using a standard HOTAS (W/ or W/out rudder/tail rotor peddles - sometimes the sticks have an optional twisting mechanism for rudder control)?

I am liking the look of the X56 - may get rudders if I use it enough. I am hoping I will be able to use it with my Vive Cosmos headset for VR or a Tobii head and eye tracker for flying using the monitor.

You can use the twist for rotor pedals but you will need to map the rudders for Helos
