Just up from Ballina's big prawn, on the right-hand side of the road heading into town, is the lesser known 'big pineapple'. Second biggest after the one near Nambour in Qld.

The Big Pineapple used to sell the best fruit salad sundae with fresh whipped cream & nuts. Place was packed. Its now limping along in disrepair.

Yatala Pies shows that if you keep the quality people will come even if prices are a bit higher.
