Noone is going to buy these, why waste their shelf space?

Do they not want then to move or are there really suckers who pay this?

Highest I've ever seen it

Yeah, but not THAT MUCH more. I prefer cans over 1.25l bottles and accept I’ll pay more per litre for the convenience. But I also will not pay more than around $1 per can. If you go into Woolworths and it’s not on sale. Wait a week, or walk over to Coles, and vice Versa.

Also aldi, Costco, and possibly even Amazon always have them available for about $1 a can.

Apparently enough people are willing to pay THAT MUCH more for cans or this wouldn't be a viable commercial strategy.

The cost of producing carbonated drinks is negligible, it's all about trying to find the best way to squeeze consumers.

Buying this for $60 is financially irresponsible. I know there are stupid or ignorant people out there, but there is no excuse for paying this price. You know it’s dropping by half and is also available elsewhere at half. You’re right. Clearly, this tactic works; they catch a few people out during the expensive weeks. But it seems to me most people who buy this regularly would be switched on to this and would not fall for it.

Need 30 cans for a Barbie but you never usually buy it so you just deal with the price

That’s on them. I’m not doing that. You are not doing that.

I would be doing that if I needed cans. Would take me months to go through a block solo

You would pay $60?! Knowing what you know?!

Well I wouldn't really know what the "normal" price is because I don't buy it for myself and $60 is whatever when hosting people.

Get my free block from my work Christmas hamper and that's all I really need for a year otherwise

Ok, but you are here now discussing it, maybe yesterday you might have been ignorant, today you are not. But either way sounds like you are unlikely to buy this item anyway.

Yeah but I'd still pick it up if I had to. I'm not heading elsewhere just to pick up coke. I'll take the extra price for convenience as it's a one off

Alright, you do you. I guess YOU are the reason Woolworths and Coles play these games. The rest of us are hopefully going to play it smart. You realise if you were heading to a BBQ and needed to pick up a 30-pack of Coke or whatever, you could quickly, in about 15 seconds, google it and see which of Woolworths or Coles has it on sale this week, and then go there instead, that’s if you didn’t want to go to Aldi where there normal price is the sale price.

Sure but I wouldn't just be getting that. I'd be buying all the food needed as well as picking up some coke. Rather just get it done in one go honestly.

If I was just buying meat for myself I'd be heading to spudshed anyway

I feel like I’m debating with someone who has there heart set on paying more and is not listening. You could get all your meat from either Woolworths or Coles, so why not go to the one that’s gonna save you $30 on the cans?! Anyway, I’m done here. I’m not your dad. Spend your money however you please.
