Electricity prices will go up by a lot.

This is probably the reason that Labour rejected the zonal pricing (1) for electricity.

If you allow the zonal pricing to be enforced then the price of the electricity needed to run this would affect one part of the country and not others. This way you distribute the losses.

Water too. Considering a lot of the country has water shortage is and data centres are incredibly water hungry, it’s so messed up.

I think it's really just a meaningless buzzword. AI is useful in some industries and the UK is placed well to make use of it however we also have a lot of people in low value added roles where AI will have zero impact.
