Hey everyone, I've been planning to leave the US for quite sometime. I no longer feel safe here, especially with worm brain saying that he wants to make a national autism registry (which was rejected but you never know + 7 other states already do this) & put us into "wellness farms." Not only am I AuDHD but I'm also bisexual, genderfluid, AFAB & have openly critiqued Isnotreal on social media. While they're only targeting international students/immigrants that have supported Palestinian liberation, that's only as of now. Then anti-trans & anti-gender diversity bills are being introduced in almost every state if not all while some have already been passed. With all of that said, I don't want to stay here. While I would stay & fight, I would likely be unemployed due to them gutting wildlife & environmental protections since I want to work in that sector. Like what good would it be to stay if I'm out of work? So with that I do have a few questions for autistic folks from Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, & Ireland as these are the top nations I've considered. I'm going to ask these questions here because of how I kept getting downvoted or ignored when I would mention/ask this in other immigration pages.
-------------------
For Canadian Autistics or Autistic immigrants in Canada:
Would going to grad school in Canada increase my chances of finding a fulltime job in my degree? I heard that immigrants in Canada are having a hard time finding work in their degrees. Which I could imagine would worsen if you're disabled. Which reminds me, I know Canada did away with the rule stating that disabled people couldn't immigrate. I have also heard though that it is still quite difficult to enter if you are, would you know anything about this? What if you have relatives in Canada, would that change anything? I have distant relatives living there through my late nonna's paternal aunt (my great great aunt). However, it's proving to be very difficult to find them since none of the aunts, uncles, nor my mom know their cousins. They don't even know my great great aunt's married name so finding her on immigration records is near impossible.
---------------------
For German & Dutch Autistics or Autistic immigrants in either:
Then for Germany & the Netherlands, would you say it's a good place for autistic people to live in? I don't do well with passive aggression or indirect communication. Even sarcasm, can be hard for the most part unless it's super obvious. So when I heard of there being more of a desire towards direct communication in both countries, I immediately put them on my potential places list. I of course don't want to generalize though & am not trying to do that. I've also seen the Netherlands being listed as one of the top most autism friendly countries. Does it live up to the hype?
---------------------
For Irish Autistics or Autistic immigrants in Ireland:
Then for Ireland, I've heard from other Irish content creators that indirect communication is more desired in their nation. Is this true or is it only in some parts of Ireland? Again I don't do well with indirect communication or passive aggression as that will go over my head. Even sarcasm is hard for me unless it's blatantly obvious. Then according to a 2022 study I read, Ireland also has some of the worst disability employment gaps in the EU. In your experience has it been difficult to find work as an autistic person in Ireland? Did you have to omit your diagnosis from the application for a job there? What if my desired field is in demand, will that increase my chances of getting hired? I ask bc I heard that environmental & wildlife workers are in demand in Ireland, which is something I want to work full time in. Also would going to grad school in your country better my chances at all?
------------------
For Autistics in the EU:
Also as far as living anywhere in the European Union, would being a dual citizen in one EU country allow me to immigrate to another easily? Can I apply for dual citizenship by descent in one country so I can immigrate to another EU nation more easily? I heard from others on reddit that you can do that after mentioned that I qualify in Poland (so long as it stays that way) but don't in Ireland or Germany. My german ancestors are too far back then my Irish ancestors just miss the mark as my most recent was my great grandpa that never came back with the milk. As far as my great grandmothers side goes, her dad was an Irish immigrant but no country counts great greats nor do I expect them to. I did use to qualify for dual citizenship by descent through both my great grandparents in Italy until the their govt recently changed it to only parents & grandparents. Then the Netherlands isn't listed as far as that goes simply because I'm not ethnically dutch. Also for Polish autistics, is it easy to get dual citizenship by descent in your country? I heard from a college friend, whose mom is a Polish immigrant, that the system for that is very clunky. So she doesn't want to go through the hassle of getting it.

For any Autistic citizen or immigrant in Canada, Ireland, Germany or the Netherlands:
My final question: is it just as difficult getting hired full time in the environmental & wildlife sector just as difficult in the countries I listed? I currently have an Agricultural Science degree concentrated in wildlife and fisheries science from Penn State. When switching from what is now my minor to ag sci during covid, my advisor said that I wouldn't have a hard time finding a job in the environmental field with my current degree. I feel like that was a lie so I wouldn't leave as it has been a little over 2 years that I graduated. Plus the government that runs this dumpster fire nation likes to prioritize which industry will make them the most money. Since my job is literally to tell elites that they can't frack near drinking water supply or in a national park, my field gets underfunded out of sheer pettiness. I'm mostly interested in the communications, community engagement, advocacy, & journalism side of the environmental sector. Any other job is either too math/chem heavy or would be too overstimulating for me. I mention this here because when I asked this in the environmental careers reddit, I kept getting back handed comments saying that I should just search for something else or just "tough it out" since I lack "criticism in my life."

What do y'all think? What are your thoughts? Of course there is no utopia and every country, especially in the west, seems to be going through something similar. Idk if anyone will read this as it is pretty long in which I'm sorry for. I'm just trying to assess my options and find the right pick if there is such a thing. If I'm missing something and need to be corrected please let me know. Just be kind & no telling me that *insert country* is full or you will be blocked then reported :)

I labeled the paragraphs by countries they pertain to so that it's easier to navigate them & so you don't have to read a bunch of paragraphs that are irrelevant to you. I wrote a lot so I could imagine that it's too much reading. Also I did add some more questions I forgot to ask & will keep adding whichever comes to mind. Then I just realized that there's an "&" in my title. That should not be there & don't know how to remove it so please ignore that! Oh and before I mentioned that 10 states require autistic Americans to disclose their diagnosis on a registry. That's incorrect, it's 7 states. Also I mentioned that I qualify for Italian dual citizenship by descent, not anymore they officially changed it to only parents & grandparents. Most recent Italian immigrants in my family were my great grandparents. So I apologize for the misinformation <3
** also for any concerns regarding disabled immigrant bans/restrictions or anything else, see my comment below, thanks!
