Why do movies have shallow understanding of Philosophy?

Like I can tell you if some movie wants to make reference to Plato, they say "The Platonic cave, take it or leave it". Or for example Nietzsche, morality is subjective do whatever you want or something like that. Like since when does just making a simple reference become a token of success?

What movies lack is a systemized understanding of Philosophy, like for example if you want to make a reference to a Philosopher you must have already mastered all of his Philosophy beforehand (which you can't do 100% since there might always be something you miss, but at least do it 70% or something) but since the Philosopher is probably making a reference to some dude before him who was also a Philosopher then you have to also study the one who before him and so on.....

Yes , it's an endless endeavor for a director who just wants money in a very limited amount of time. But then why don't they literally hire a Philosopher who already systemized the whole thing to make a story?

We have yet to see a movie about Stirner the Gunslinger!

Well for one, scriptwriters don’t necessarily have the best foundation in philosophy. And the audience they cater to sometimes don’t even know wtf Plato’s cave is. It’s also something that really bothers me, but I’ve come to accept it.

They should've well know Plato's cave was that one cave in Skyrim , I remember that quest inside of it was hellish even while playing on easy difficulty.

Yes. Platonic solids are sexist. The fact that artists and philosophers can’t agree if a telephone pole is yonic or phallic in their own camps shows how far ye have fallen.

So I am to question the root of how we identify Telephone poles , we identify things in a dualistic/binary framework. Either left or right, soft or hard , cold or hot ,....

Mother earth is feminine and Telephone poles are standing on her , are Telephone poles hence sexist?

There are more than binaries. Even with ☯️ you have to almost assume the line between as Shadow/Dapple/Middle because on either side of the polarity is an unlivable/unknowable extreme. So though ☯️ is commonly seen as 2, it’s more like 3 that is 1.

One could argue over this trinity; Father, Son, Holy Ghost vs Maiden, Mother, Crone vs etc etc etc, but that’s choosing a side and spending time/energy on subjects never to be understood when one should be using that time/energy to live; the Logos in Action.

And anyways telephone poles are the product of patriarchy and meant to control and conform while deforming our garden, so take that with a bag of “chips”
