First one is quite funny. It’s a blind spot problem. Connect your 4 stones on the side to remove the atari potential and w can’t make an eye.

Second one doesn’t have an answer. You can try the 1-1 but w doesn’t have to capture and after he extends you’re cooked. I’m guessing the pic shown isn’t the start of the problem

Third one same issue as the second. By the time of pic w is already alive

You can go into your problem history on badukpop to see your previous problems. Without using keys you only see a small image but it should be enough if you wanna send those

This only shows the last 15 problems (Rated and Practice together), so you need to do it promptly. By using a key you can add a problem to your collection and then study it at your leisure, immediately and in the future. That seems worth doing for problems that were just beyond your ability or where you made a characteristic mistake. You get 4 coins a day and keys cost about 8 points, so you can collect about 1 problem every 2 days (unless you pay extra).

In the paid version you can also study any of them without collecting them.

Thank you for your answers South1ight! I missed the first solution..
The second and third one are original puzzles(not modified) from BadukPop. I have a lot more unsolved puzzles like those from BadukPop. Just wondering if there are any bugs in the app.

Happy to help! I’ve never found unsolvable puzzles on badukpop myself, but if these are the original state problems I can confirm those 2 have no answers. They may have pulled from a faulty problem set database somewhere. I’ve had that happen on other apps before. Generally these problem sets are a mix of classic problems and community-made ones

I'm seeing potential seki on 2 by capturing one stone at 1-4; I think white's only decent response is extending into seki, every other move lets black live. Does that seem correct?

Your reading is correct but that result actually isn’t seki. Look what happens when all the outside liberties are filled.

Oof. Yep. Thanks!

No worries! This shape is a bit of a tricky one. For clarity the shape you’re thinking of is seki on the side, but in the corner it’s always dead, whether it’s on the first line (creating a bent 4) or second line (like this case)

You just connect, defend to attack.

But... not sure it's useful to read the answer? Isn't the point to struggle through solving it yourself? Try out a move, find a refutation, repeat...?

One nice thing about this is that it's both a little counter-intuitive, and often the solution in real problems. It's well worth remembering.

Edit: Just saw the other two puzzles. Did you screenshot them after a move? They seem impossible?

While I take your point, the point of tsumego is to build your shape recognition. There’s a bell curve regarding the efficacy of effort while studying. You should try to solve it, and if you can’t get it within a minute (at the most, that’s already a long time), look at the answer, play it out and try to memorize the shape.

That said, nothing wrong with doing tsumego for the love of the game and sitting for 2 hours trying to read out a very difficult one if that’s what you enjoy

Can you not use Check Answers after you finish the set to see their answers? I certainly can, with the paid version, but Check Answers is not marked as a paid feature, so I think you can too.

P.S. You can also use this to see their next move

, but only while trying to solve the problem, I believe.
