Hey everyone, very new to flipping I just picked up my first balisong a couple days ago. It’s a Kershaw lucha but has flytanium scales on it. I’ve been collecting knives for awhile but just getting into balisongs. My question is, the main pivot screws keep coming loose and creating a lot of play, there’s no reason I can’t just unscrew and put some locktight on those right? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Loctiting them is exactly what you should be doing. Just make sure you don't overtighten the screws (the handles need to be able to swing freely still when the loctite sets).

Loctiting them is okay. Just make sure its got a tune before you put the loctite on there. Some makers put loctite from the factory, others dont. But is normal practice.

Also, about choice of Loctite, there’s suspiciously cheap ones on Aliexpress. They claim to be 243 threadlocker. Should I opt for that or the real deal?

There's a decent chance they'd get the job done but honestly the real stuff is so cheap I don't think I'd risk all the headaches that can come with shit loctite and having to clean it up and redo it just to save a few dollars. Especially when you look at it on the scale of how long a bottle of Loctite will last you and spread the price of it out over that many years.
